This hotel is a special “find” if you are planning a stay in Paris. It is small, intimate, beautifully appointed , exceptionally clean. 15th Century bones with exquisitely decorated interior along with central air, elevator etc. Close to EVERYTHING in a VERY SAFE area of Paris. The BEST PART of this lovely hotel is the staff, especially HENRI! He manages the hotel- providing exceptional, friendly supportive services ANYTIME you need anything! He has 2 wonderful assistants named Ramond and Basel…also very friendly and helpful. If you stay at this hotel, and have the above staff to assist..you will NOT be disappointed!

Hotel's Favourite
I do not write reviews so forgive me if I do not go into detail that may go into regular reviews. However, my wife and I chose a Paris trip to get away for a week and neither of us in our life have ever been there. So to Tripadvisor I went along with a few other sites and sight unseen chose this wonderful hotel. It was perfect. Right in the middle of just about everything and whatever was not close by was a train or short Uber trip away. The staff was outstanding from the moment of the reservation until we left. Everyone could not have been more friendly. I am orignally from US my wife from China so needless to say our French is lacking....but that was not a concern. The whole staff from the front desk area...cleaning staff....and kitchen...could not have been more accomodating. They even set up transportation to and from the airport. We took a tour to Normandy which they set up for us and sold us passes that were good for the numerous museums to choose. Food and drink? They serve breakfast if you would like...and it is the same serving each day....but really was awesome all food and drink fresh and delicious. As for other food close by. Take your pick. From a 30 second walk to a 10 minute walk there are restaurants of all shapes and sizes to fill your appetite for food and drink. Has been mentioned that the rooms can get warm....we only were really in the rooms at night and they do get warm....the heater is the only thing that works in the winter....but we opened the windows....yes you can actually open the windows to the outside...and the fresh air was more than enough to cool things down. The room was very clean each day, the bathroom very modern....which I was a little worried about since the building was constructed in the late 1400's.....but no worries there...more modern than my bathroom at home. Hot water and all. The rooms were also beautiful to look at.....they can be a but snug...but for us it was perfect. You don't hang out in your rooms all day anyway when you are in the middle of Paris. The room rates are very competitive in the surroundings. We were just amazed, pleased, and recommend anyone who does not know where to stay or what part of Paris to stay this is it. The staff for us was the icing on the cake. You will not get any better attention staying at some high rise five star name brand hotel. They treated us special from the moment we got there until we left. Thank you, you made a special trip even better because you took many of the worries out of our hands. On our next trip to Paris. There is no other reason for any other hotel to look at we will stay here.

We found this hotel because we made lunch reservations at Le Precope and it was within walking distance. What an amazing surprise! In our reservation we asked for a superior hotel room for twin or double and then requested double. Upon arrival we met Raymond, congenial and helpful host. He checked our reservation and told us he was giving us an upgrade fir a suite at the same price as our request. Not only was it gorgeous for a building built in the 1400’s, it had gorgeous fabric on the walls, luxurious bedding, a jacuzzi tub and shower combo! Yes, it was tiny, but they all are in the Latin Quarter. Raymond put us on the lift and said he would bring up the luggage. Tiny lift. Although we did not eat breakfast, the breakfast area was tiny, but charming. Raymond was our hero. He printed out our COVID test results for us, he kept our baggage all day and made sure we had a taxi i pouring rain. We will definitely be back!!

Perfect small hotel , beautiful location with very personal attention. Henri the concierge was so kind and helpful. A woman traveling alone is often overlooked but Henri has taken such good care of me. He even upgraded my stay at no extra charge. The suite is heavenly and I will return with my husband to this same suite in the future.

We had the unique pleasure of staying twice at this delightful boutique hotel while in France for a wedding. While I have been visiting Paris repeatedly for over 40 years I have never enjoyed staying at a hotel more than the Relais Hotel du Vieux. It is located in the middle of the most romantic and charming district in Paris and central to every delight that Paris has to offer. While not large our room was quiet and very comfortable. The friendly staff repeatedly went out of their way to meet our every need, especially Henri. He and Raymond communicated by email multiple times to arrange airport and train station transport and to keep us up to date about changing Covid precautions. More important they recommended some unforgettable restaurants just a few blocks away. Breakfast was always a delight no matter what we requested. I also recommended to both my sisters that they stay here. Afterwards they and their husbands thanked me profusely!! You can spend more, get a fancier large room, but you will never enjoy Paris more than here!!
