We've stayed there in October. Low-profile location on a cozy little street just next to La Citte and Notre Dame. Now, what looks like a cozy street during the day, turns to a plates-crashing shouting-down-the-street frenzy from Greek restaurant owners (there's an ample amount of those in the vicinity). And then there's a loud street cleaning at night. We had a hard time sleeping, but were generously compensated by the location we found ourselves at every morning. Recommended for short stays.…
The first time I stayed there with my mother, and every time afterwards if there are vacancies, I stay there. It's only a block away from every attraction in central Paris, and it is located in one of those alley ways full of greek restaurants, so, everything at your door.
really friendly and helpful staff! and they all speak some sorta english...at least the several i spoke to! I actually traveled in 2011 but tripadvisor won't let me choose that date. i had a single with a shower. kinda freaked out a lil i had to share the toilet, but it was always super clean in there! and everyone's out and about so it's like having the toilet to yourself :). it's totally right next to notre dame, the only part of paris i felt any romanticism for. you walk to the end of the street and there it is shooting up into the sky...amazingly beautiful and grand! only problem might be that the walls are super thin. i could hear the crinkling of plastic bags from next door! i was only there for a night and probably wouldn't recommend for more than than a couple nights unless you're 20 years old!…
There is no escaping the noise in this hotel. Only stay here if you are a night owl. Even back from the street the noise will come up the attrium/courtyard to your bedroom from guests talking at all hours. If you are a bar hopping nightcluber this could be for you. The rooms are very basic but clean.…
So close to St-Michel station, located on a pedestrian street with a great little jazz club across the road. Also beside the jazz club there is a tiny bar called La Petite Taverne where you can get the best priced pint in Paris. St-Germain des pres is just a short walk and such a pretty area. I would avoid the breakfast here and go to the cafe at the end of the street instead much better value. If you are looking for luxury this is not ideal but I would stay here again for a fun weekend Paris.…
