What a delightful hotel! You should try to get one of the top floor rooms from where you can see the roofs of the neighbourhood and the Sorbonne, so beautiful! Colombian writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez stayed there while writing one of his best known novels. Not luxurious but you absolutely have all you need, and it is so so so...

We always use this hotel when we visit Paris. It's very conveniently located in the 5th arrondissement and close to the RER station for Luxembourg, enabling an easy airport transfer. It's also very close to the Jardin du Luxembourg, Notre Dame and the Pantheon. There are plenty of restaurants within a few minutes's walk. The rooms tend to be small...

My second time in this nice hotel. Little but cosy. Near Sorbonne. Good connections everywhere - RER and METRO and BUS. Modern furniture. Nice helpful staff. Dull but good adjectives: warm, safe, clean, cosy. Value of money.

We have stayed on Rue Cujas near the Pantheon in the past and the area is rewarding for its connections with the Sorbonne, the Pantheon and Parc Luxembourg. This hotel has location, history and value in abundance. Plan to spend an hour or more in the lobby looking at a fine collection of ancient maps of Paris, a collection of...

A three night stay for a quick trip to Paris. The room was fairly small, although the bathroom was comparatively large. Both the bedroom and bathroom had large windows opening over the street. The room was clean and functional. Expensive for the size/amenities by North American standards, but it was centrally located and convenient with both the Louvre and Notre...

Convenient Left Bank location, near Luxembourg Gardens, the Pantheon, and the Sorbonne. 10 minute walk to the Notre Dame. 6th floor rooms are large for the area. Good beds. Clean. Quiet enough for a light sleeper to catch up on sleep after a transatlantic flight.

This week I stayed in the Trois Colleges for the third or fourth time. It is always reliable. The reception staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The rooms are impeccably clean. Because it is located on a side street (but only a few meters from the Boulevard Saint-Michel) it is quiet. The rooms are small, but the bathrooms are actually...

The rooms are nice -- clean and well kept. And they are small. The double bed in my room has about 40cm on either side of it. If 2 people were here, they would have to be saying "excuse-moi" all the time. The bathrooms are also small. The front desk staff speak fluent English and are very pleasant. The breakfast...

I like the 6 days I've spent there. The personnel was extremely accommodating, the room clean and enjoyable, the location just perfect: you will get the opportunity to be in the hearth of Paris, with superb walks and environment all around you. The only downside, was the noise coming from the streets. Something you will be willing to "pay" for...

I loved this hotel. All rooms will be smaller in Paris, but this wasn't lacking anything we needed to be more than comfortable. The bed was cozy and we woke up feeling well rested and ready to explore the beautiful city each morning. The shampoo/body wash smelled amazing and everything was kept very clean. The front staff was incredibly friendly...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
