The hotel is VERY GOOD located and the staff is very friendly. It’s worth the price you pay due to the location. We had a problem with the bed and the receptionist solved it in a minute, giving us another room. Highly recommended if you are going to Paris to walk and visit the city and you look for a place to sleep, rest and havea shower. Very good coffee and bread.…
I arrived before my family. The receptionist did not help me with my luggage even though I am 7 months pregnant. There is no elevator. I had to struggle up and down a couple of times as I have several bags and had been given the wrong key with the room. The rooms are old and there are large stains on the floor, wall and bed from moisture and other things. I had to ask for another room, and luckily got it too. The new room was out to the street, and very charming, but still old and dirty in the nooks. Being able to open windows to life from the Latin Quarter makes one forget about the dirty carpets and pillows waiting in the closet. Fortunately it was warm so we didn't need blankets etc. Breakfast is served on small chairs at the reception, where they also store 5 old and broken toilets. Breakfast consists of half a flute, with butter, jam and coffee. If you need to take a shower, beware. If others in the hotel use cold, then the water you get is boiling hot under the shower. When we were going home, we asked at the front desk if they would call us for a taxi. After 30 minutes we found out he had not called yet .. and he asked us to get a taxi even if we couldn't wait. The location is so good so maybe I could come here again. My family says - never again…
It was awful and unacceptable! In addition to the noise and meager breakfasts, with which you can reconcile, the bad bugs were found in the bad, that have also bidd. I stack with such kind of situation for the first time ever. Hever can imagine that in the room with the price for night more than 100EUR it is possible! The hotel just replaced the room, saying that this is the first time. This hotel should be closed for disinfection. The only good thing is the location…
Not everyone is going to like this place. My daughter and I loved it! They were kind enough to watch our bags for us both before check-in and after checkout. They were able to give us directions (in English!) around town. It’s located in a beautiful neighborhood - Germaine - which is a 5-7 minute walk from the St. Michel metro stations. The room was clean and spacious. We had a window that opened on the first floor overlooking the street and it was very lovely to sit and listen to the sounds of a backstreet Parisian scene. The stairs were old and uneven - which we loved! And the old-fashioned key-and-fob system was beautiful. Breakfast was very Parisian as well - a baguette and coffee or tea au lait (or sans). Again, not for everyone, but we loved it!…
Location is great but don’t expect much for the price you pay for. Rooms adequate however hand held shower was broken so we couldn’t take a shower standing up. Mouldy bathroom ceiling and shared toilets not in operation or have no toilet seat. The lobby is turned into a makeshift dinning room for breakfast. Wifi is slow and unstable. No lifts so expect to take you luggage up three floors via stairs if you are on the top level. I would only recommend this place for a short stay. I would call this accommodation adequate but should be cheaper considering the level of the facilities.…
"Avoid the top floor if you don't like stairs and low ceilings. If you don't like noise, ask for an inside room."Read full review
