This hotel offers everything I look for when booking a Paris hotel room. Prime location, reasonably priced, & friendly staff always willing to help. It also featured a lovely balcony, and the entire establishment was obviously well cared for. The umbrellas available to guests in the lobby are a nice touch, as are the lollipops at the front desk. The...

This hotel is in a great location, close to RER/metro station, St Germain and St Michel. Room was clean and bed was comfy. No AC (I was not expecting) so it got a little stuffy at night even with windows open. Nice bathroom and shower. There is a lift (elevator) for luggage. Also had a really nice breakfast for about...

This St. Germain location is very close to Metro and other great shopping and eating. This hotel offers great Family accommodations with rooms that have up to Four Beds and large bathrooms including a Tub and separate water closet (toilet)! Free Wifi was great benefit too!

this hotel is located perfectly in St Germain and is close to a lot of the sights. Breakfast, while slightly pricey, is very good. the receptionists are very helpful and all in all it is a great hotel and I'll definitely will be back the next time i'm in Paris.

Very competent, though not a warm, reception - but you're in Paris of course! Clean; small really tiny twin bedroom. Good value. Our room above the street was surprisingly quiet until 9 a.m - oh joy! I'd not take the €12 breakfast - better to walk up to the cafe overlooking the Luxembourg garden where there's a very fine display...

The hotel is comfortable and clean. The staff is nice and helpful. The location is excellent to enjoy the nightlife of St. Germain neighborhood and in a walk distance to Ile de la Cite. But the rooms doesn't have air conditioning (maybe important in the high summer).

We have stayed at this hotel for the last 3 or 4 years and have never had any complaints. When travelling by train the Odeon Station ( metro line 4 ) is ideally situated and a short walk to the hotel. Gare de Nord and Montparnesse stations are on line 4 . The hotel rooms have recently been re decorated...

Conveniently placed on Metro route 4. Easy access from Gare du Nord. Friendly, helpful staff in accommodation with no complaints. However, there is a lack of lounge area. Seating in reception is too limited to call a lounge. We upgraded our room but this was not cost effective as lower rate rooms were more than adequate. One day, French hoteliers...

Two of us stayed here in June and we really enjoyed it. The room was small but expected for Paris and it was definitely manageable. Everything was clean and the washroom was great. The location is about a five minute walk to the River. They were all really friendly there and let us into our room early. The breakfast was...

Maybe the "Grand" in the hotel name is a little misleading, as Grand Hotel des Balcons felt like a small and very friendly hotel. My single room was small, but included everything I needed, except a shoehorn, toothpaste and shaving foam, of which the two last mentioned were easily obtainable in the neighbourhood. Good price, central location and nice breakfast....

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
