I was hoping to find a cozy boutique hotel on a medieval Marais street, but booking a weekend in Paris two weeks in advance in the summer does not permit pickiness. Castex is indeed on a small, quiet street within minutes of Bastille and the...More
The Castex was a nice place to stay to see Paris. The rooms are very small, but clean and tastefully decorated. Good strong A/C with contols in the room. The location is good also; the Bastile Metro Station is about 3 blocks away. The center...More
great location in the 4th between Henry IV Blvd and Saint Antoine, everything at your doorstep, check out the hidden gem - Monoprix's market, lower level on Saint Antoine, plenty of street markets, bakeries, cafes, and the shops at Place de Voges, easy walk to...More
The location was walking distance to transit, cafe's, river, shopping but was nice and quiet at night. The rooms are small but comfortable but you're not in your room much. The breakfast had stale rolls and croissants and no variety day to day. Our shower...More

people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.

Hi Anne! 2 girlfriends and I booked and stayed in the triple room in Sept. It has a single bed downstairs, pretty steep stairs up with 2 singles in the loft. It is a pretty tiny space, but clean and comfortable. The window does have a very French view. We loved the location close to transportation, cafes, and a grocery story.
Hope this helps! Have fun!
I took an Uber from the airport. Otherwise they recommend a taxi or the bus. I believe you can take several trains but after an overnight flight from the states I wasn't in the mood for navigating the train. ;) Uber wasn't... More
