As many reviews have stated, this hotel is exactly what it seems to be. The rooms are small, the a/c doesn't reliably work, neither does the iron in the rooms. The elevator can only fit two people at a time or one person and a suitcase, and breakfast is not included in the standard rate. All that being said, we...

Le Marais is a great neighbourhood to use as a base in Paris, lively, many restaurants and cafés. This hotel is nicely located, about 15 minutes walk to the métro (subway) you can also walk to many of the sites. The hotel is fine, the only reason for my rating is the size of the rooms. They are always small...

The hotel is very clean. It's located in a new building. The staff is very nice. Breakfast is ok. Highlighting the location in itself, in a calm street, close to bars, cafes and not far from Notre Dame and the Louvre.

Be aware!!! Do not come. The stuff is the worst in the world. Service is worst. The room is very small, you can hardly enter with the suitcases. The rate is not even one star. the worst hotel we ever been. they have to be ashamed.

Good comfortable hotel. Good location 15 mins by taxi from central station and 30 mins out of rush hour to the airport. Staff were friendly and helpful. They helped with places to visit and local restaurants. Excellent room although a little small by uk standards typical of Paris. It was clean and modern. Good place to stay for pleasure or...

The room was small but perfect for our weekend stay. The staff we're friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location was everything! Marais is a lovely historic part of town, full of small boutiques, cafes, restaurants and galleries.

Yes the hotel has a tiny lift and small rooms but unless you are willing to spend a fortune in Paris, it's what to expect :-) This family run hotel was what we need for a 3 night stay...clean rooms, close to public transport and friendly staff! Thank you for a great stay!

A very nice little hotel, well situated for Paris sights, and also with plenty of nice cafes and restaurants around. Clean and well-appointed rooms. The staff are excellent bookings etc are all handled efficiently, and the service is excellent - nothing is too much trouble

Small hotel. Seems renovated so nothing shabby. Stayed on 5th floor. Rooms are 14sq meters. Reasonable. Shower was very very small. Thumbs up for cleanliness. The area is superb. It's the right place to live in Paris. Lots of stores, caffes, restaurants. Prices are reasonable.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. Our room was small, but who cares, you're in Paris! The front desk guy during the day was wonderfully helpful. The location is amazing...tons of little shops and boutiques (my wife was in shopping heaven). When we come back, we'll stay here again for sure!

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
