Relais Medicis, is located adjacent the Odeon on the border of the Latin Quarter, and down the street from the Sarbonne. This quaint little hotel is a giant at personal comfort with tastefully decorated rooms providing ample space in an almost apartment like feel. The space is unusually quiet in a great location with amazing restaurants with artistic and boutique...

We found the Hotel Relais Medicis to be a small, pretty hotel with quite generously sized rooms and a very nice included breakfast. The beds are comfy and the baths very modern. Our rooms were very quiet even though only 1 flight up from street level. The location is terrific, adjacent to Theater Odeon and very close to Luxemburg Garden,...

This hotel's location is its best attribute - ground floor looks updated in Provincial style, very pretty, however the décor in the room looked very tired and dirty. Window frames have mould, the bedspread was threadbare, faded, and in need of a clean. The bed skirt was ill-fitting, and looked like it hadn't been cleaned for years. If shabby-chic is...

The hotel is very quaint and pretty. Our room was adorable with flowered curtains and pretty bed spread. Bathroom was fabulous--great water pressure. Everything was clean except some mold on grout in bathroom. Only negatives are that the room was very small--too small to fit two suitcases on the floor and no other place to put them. Suitcase stand was...

usually, I am a five star hotel person...but, not in Paris..this is a small gem (YES, SMALL, AND ROOMS ARE SMALL) in a great location steps away from jardin de Luxembourg.. the staff is great, helpful...and the fact that they answer me and speak to me in French unless I ask for translation, gives an idea of how friendly they...

So true this was our one and only stay in Paris but I believe we got very lucky with having chosen to stay here at the end of November. Breakfast was included with our room which pushed it over the top for us in that it was both delicious and included an option of having it delivered to our room...

We've been to about 30 hotels in Paris over the last ten years, and this place ranks in the bottom third. Why? Two-star amenities with four-star prices. Mind you, there are some very nice two-star hotels in Paris; but they charge half the prices we paid here. The location is great: right next door to the Theatre de l'Odeon and...

This hotel catch my and my husband´s attention for its coziness and we decided to try it. True, it is cozy. It is decorated in a Provençal style (which in general is a bit over, but that is yet a bit more). The hotel is in need for improvements. It´s even difficult to understand this hotel being rated as 4...

As a frequent traveller to Paris (6th district), I had been staying nearby in a hotel recently refurbished and up-priced, so decided to go back to the Relais Medicis. A delightful re-discovery: it has also been upgraded to 4-stars, is a good value for Paris, and features a nice new lobby. 3 of us took a small suite. The hotel...

We stayed here for two nights in August 2014 and loved it! The hotel rooms are not huge, but make up for it in charm! We had a queen bed, a table and chairs and kid cot-with room to spare. Our room overlooked the courtyard and was decorated in what I would call a French countryside style. Reception knows who...

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
