My husband and I visited Paris last week and we couldn't have found a better hotel. This little hotel is very rococo but with a modern feel. Common areas in general are small, but very inviting and impeccably decorated. We arrived early and of course our room wasn't ready, which we expected. The staff immediately checked us in and offered...

During my many stays in several hotels, I measure the quality of hotels by the quality of the hotels by the Q of the beds, the shower and the breakfast, more precisely the freshness of the fruit salad. All three were perfect in Maison Favart. Because I love the typical friendly French politeness (you only know what it is when...

We loved this hotel mainly for the excellent staff and good position, the reason it didn't get 5* was because we paid for a room upgrade but the room was small and quite dark as it faced a small enclosed courtyard (room 26)

Room was small but well appointed. Bathroom was nice. Decor was more traditional than hip. Breakfast was a bust, no real eggs, so no omelets or fried eggs. It was either powder eggs or some type of pre mix solution, either way, not edible and kind of ruined my experience. The spa is also a disappointment, small and in the...

The First superior room they placed us in had a balcony (with the hotel air conditioners located on it), overlooking a 5 story drop into a boxed in concrete court yard ( about 2M wide by 5M long). The room was small, dark and had odd sections of wall perturbing into it, meaning you had to slide down the bed...

We just returned from a week's stay at La Maison Favart. It was perfect! The hotel is beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. The hotel staff went above and beyond to insure our stay was flawless; they were incredibly helpful with setting up tours, as well as coordinating dinner reservations to fit our needs. La Maison Favart is a boutique style...

What a lovely hotel, charming & personal Decorated like a cross between a beautiful box of French Art Deco chocolates and the drawings in Paddinton Bear (the lift) Low key entrance and lobby with sofas but no guests sitting around, its not that kind of hotel so if you want bar/lobby hotel action go elsewhere...but if you want a great...

We just returned from a week in Paris. During that time, we spent the nights in La Maison Favart. This was a fabulous choice. The hotel is a smaller, boutique style hotel juxtaposed to the Opera Comique on Rue du Marivaux. There was construction going on, so the small square facing the hotel was quite noisy at times. This was...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
