Fair 2 stars hotel, in interesting postion, close to Gambetta. Receptionists are nice and the service is good. The room was quite poor and simple, of course in line with a 2 star service - not very cheap, though. Although I was not expecting much...More
little hotel with 2 star, cheap and clean. basically everything you need for few days in Paris, near metro, in center of Paris, in "periferic" circle. You have to pay for breakfast and wifi extra if you want.
Mid March I went to Paris with my boyfriend to visit his sister who lives in Gambetta and we stayed one night at Paris Vingt. We paid 70 Euros for one night (approx. 100 Canadian Dollars). The location of the hotel is very friendly and...More
Firstly - if you've booked this hotel then you've made a great move! Strictly speaking however - (if I could work out how to do it!) I would have given 4 1/2 stars to this hotel apart due to 2 small issues - One of...More
We chose this hotel both for the price, which is not bad, and its location near relatives. It is only a few minutes from the Pere-Lachaise Cemetery where the famous people are buried, and the Bellville area with a nice view of the entire city....More

Belleville / Pere Lachaise

Belleville / Pere Lachaise
At the eastern edge of Paris lies Belleville / Père Lachaise, an understated wonderland of local treasures. Alongside the world-famous cemetery, family-owned delicatessens and cafés nestle between local stores and establishments. The richness of the population here has created a little Chinatown of Asian restaurants, and the area comes to life at night by a funky underground scene. Façades change from one
street to another as one passes from white walled provincial homes to tall blocks and reconverted homes. The whole area is an inspirational mix of people from all corners of the world frequented by artists, students, immigrants, and Parisian families. Once home to supporters of the Paris commune, its rebellious nature is now offset by its rural charms.
