Really enjoyed staying at this hotel, great location to see all the sights. Rooms are a good size, staff are so pleasant and helpful. Drinks are a bit expensive at €20 for a gin and tonic. Concierge are worth talking to about dining recommendations, we went to a bistro down the road and it was superb. Would definitely stay here...

This lovely traditional Paris hotel is in the highly desirable area of St. Germain des Pres. You are just steps away from world class dining, shopping and historic sites. The hotel's design leaves you no doubt that you are in Paris. Traditional yet not old and stuffy. The rooms are clean and the decor fresh and up to date. I really...

Although our room had a quirky shape it was comfortable and had plenty of natural light from two windows. It was located overlooking the church behind the hotel and was very quiet and serene at night. Closet space was ample and bathroom efficient with plenty of counter/storage space. Hotel style is classic and traditional. The bar reminds me of a...

My husband and I arrived in Paris on Sept. 15, 2016, after a week of travel to Alsace, Normandy and Bretagne. What a joy it was to be able to unpack and stay put for 6 days! From the moment we walked in the door, we were treated like royalty! It didn't hurt that I spoke a bit of French...

Great location, helpful staff and wonderful atmosphere. Would stay here again. Be aware that the room size is a bit tight but nothing that would make me hesitate to stay here. The buffet breakfast was great combination of European and American style.

Great small hotel on the left bank. Updated, handsome, clean, professional, prompt staff. Rare gem. I travel to europe regularly, and really experience a mix of hotels from luxe to economy depending on the trip. I love the Plaza Athenee, but don't love waking up in that neighborhood. It's not warm, not a real neighborhood, just tourists. I've hopped all...

I absolutely loved this little hotel. Great staff, clean, up to dats, comfortable beds, old world, lots of hand craftmanship evident in the the wood work, beautiful bar, romantic and the restaurant a great place to eat if you don't want to go out. They are writhing a short walk of the old winding streets lined with Parisian shops and...

From the get go the staff at Hotel Pont Royal were kind, helpful and unassuming. This hotel has the class of a Four Seasons combined with the intrigue of a boutique. Location is very central, with nice bistro's nearby.

We had a deluxe double room with an Eiffel Tower view (707). It was nice to see the tower from the little balcony at night. The hotel is so close to everything - Musée d'Orsay is 700m away, The Louvre maybe 1km, The Tower a €15 cab ride. The hop on-hop off bus stops about 100m away at the corner...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
