poor value of money spent, the rooms very not clean, the toilets also were serviced, the drain water kept coming up and spilling the toilet floors, breakfast was very bad and low on service, over all a very terrible experience ! will not ever want to visit the hotel or recommend to anyone to stay here.

The hotel offers basic amenities. I didn't get the breakfast option because it's better to get ot from local french cafes. The main advantage of this hotel is its proximity to the metro. That makes up for its location which is not at the city center. It added about 20 minutes to our travel time which I didn't mind given...

Typical Paris hotel style - small for north American standard. However, it is more spacious than most of it in this area. The lobby has computer for guest and WiFi only works in the lobby. The subway station is only a block away. Chinatown is only a few blocks away as well. I'd definitely come back to this hotel when...

We stayed here on a EF Tour with 8th graders but I am writing this to warn adults about it here. I had to wait about 15 minutes for a hot shower, which is a drizzle. The beds are two twins pushed together and about the lowest quality mattress you could buy. We were on the 6th flour and our...

We spent four nights at this hotel. The staff was extremely helpful. It has a great location. The Metro system is about a short block away from the hotel. Our room was nice, clean, and quiet. We did not take the option of having breakfast at the hotel. Since we were in Paris, we wanted to explore the many restaurants...

Near the Latin quarter with great restaurants close by. Metro also close but a fair distance from city centre. Used metro a lot which was really easy. Room was fairly basic but clean. Good service. We didn't have breakfast here but there were lots of places to get something close by.

Stayed for 2 nights end September, we had 2 triple bed rooms. The decor looked tired - with dull carpets and walls, and traditional brown wooden hotel furniture. LCD TV, tea/coffee sachets and a kettle, small fridge which was was useful for storing our bottled water. Reception was fresher, with a lounge area with a range of magazines, and a...

My mission was to find a mid-range Paris hotel in a good, though not necessarily central, location. The price had to fit fairly strict budget constraints. And, crucially, the basic requirements were comfy, clean, air-conditioned rooms. We were talking at least three stars here...but rooms in Paris don't come cheap right now. It was going to be a challenge. Luckily,...

My six-year-old son and I have stayed at this hotel twice and I really like it. The front desk has always been very polite and friendly and the rooms are clean. Some other reviews complain about the size of the room, but that did not bother us. We were very comfortable. My favorite thing about the room was having a...

Place d'Italie is a strange place to stay in Paris and we stayed there only because of a conference nearby. In the event we were very happy with the location which although far from everything else is well served with public transportation which we found very convenient. In particular we had no trouble recognising our stop on the bus as...

Staying in Place d'Italie / Quartier Asiatique

Neighbourhood Profile
Place d'Italie / Quartier Asiatique
Far off the beaten path, this part of Paris is a forgotten gem worth exploring. Avenue d’Ivry houses Europe's largest Chinatown with great Asian supermarkets and shops, and a thrilling atmosphere around Chinese New Year. Place d’Italie impresses onlookers as soon as they set their eyes on it. Not far, around La Butte aux Cailles, the streets suddenly imitate provincial France and you’ll feel like you’ve been transported. The beauty of these streets lies in their surprises around every twist and turn.
