After finding that my new wife had unwitingly booked us into a what seemed like a brothel, we went in search of another hotel on a Friday teatime in September and every hotel we tried was full, then we happened upon the Timhotel Montmartre a little gem in a lovely square, they were very helpfull and we had a small...

We stayed here twice during our travels in France, and absolutely loved it. The rooms on the 5th floor have the most stunning views over the city, watching the sunrise over the Sacre Coeur in 520, and the sunset with the Eiffel Tower from 512 was just beautiful. Right in the heart of Montmartre, with easy access to the rest...

We stayed at the Timhotel Montmartre for a 40th Birthday treat. We booked a standard room and I emailed the hotel in advance to request one of the rooms towards the top floor as it was a special birthday. They provided this at no extra charge. We had a lovely view of the Sacre Coeur and the square below plus...

We paid extra for a room with a view and it was really worth it. It felt like a scene from Ratatouille! Also the location was spectacular on a quiet pedestrian square very convenient to Sacre Coeur and the metro. We loved staying there and would stay there again. It was a good value for the location.

spent 3 nights here and would book again. Great location. Friendly helpful staff. Very clean and comfortable albeit small rooms. Shower room small but all worked well! Upgraded to a room on 4th floor. It was at the back of the hotel so very quiet and had a fabulous panoramic view of Paris towards the Eiffel tower so worth the...

This is a two star hotel, so don't have high expectations. Pros - wonderful staff, very helpful, and most spoke English (my French is very poor), a buffet breakfast for 10 Euros is well priced (when you consider a small cup of coffee can cost you up to 5 Euros), our room was not large but adequate and the view...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
