Visited Paris a year ago with a party of five: 4 adults and a baby. We were located at Trypp Opera and were positively surprised about the location and the room comfort. Also the breakfast was very nice start for the day.

Just got back from a 7 night stay at the Tryp. While the hotel had a couple of quirks about it, overall we really enjoyed our stay at the Tryp and I would stay there again.

The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in
another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.

I prepaid my stay, but if I remember they put around $100 or so on hold. We didn't use anything at the hotel except bottled water and a couple of sodas from minibar. Don't get the breakfast each morning. It will cost $25 or so euros each person each day and you can get better food across the street at the crepe restaurant and it will be cheaper.
We took a cab from CDG and it was around $60 euros or so. You can take train to city and then metro that drops you off at the front door of a hotel. That will cost $10 euros I think. It had been awhile since I was in Paris and didn't want to chance getting lost trying to find the hotel. If taking cab bring the full address of the hotel, our cab driver had to look the hotel and address up.
