First let me say that our stay here was not by choice, or at least not much of a choice. We booked through our travel club RCI. We were assured it was a 4-star hotel, and we requested a queen or king bed along with a sitting area because I had a lot of work requiring at least a work table. What we got was a full-size bed, so right there we knew we wouldn’t be sleeping well since we’re both restless sleepers. It was plenty comfortable but we didn’t sleep well. Furthermore, the room had a desk, no table. Two chairs, but we couldn’t both sit at the desk. This became an issue as you will see. The room had a suitcase stand—just one—and NO dresser. The closet had six hangers. We were forced to live out of the luggage. The room itself was about 12x8, so there was literally nowhere to go. One of us had to sit on the bed while the other squeezed around because the suitcases were taking up the floor. The shower was like any European shower, but the tub was so deep I couldn’t get in or out by myself and there were no bars. There was also no soap. I would not have minded if we could have used the lobby dining area for dining and work. However, the city shut down for COVID-19 and the hotel closed its dining facility. We had to buy groceries to get a dinner. The clerk said we could sit at a dining table, but the manager came in and began shouting at us. “It’s forbidden to dine here. You can’t sit here! Take it to your room!” I explained that our room had nowhere to sit but he came back with “It’s forbidden!” Now I had heard Macron’s speech and I know that restaurants were shut but hotels were not included in the initial order. He was completely out of line. We left the next day rather than trying to get through the week with the aggravation. Honestly, unless you have good reason to be in the Bel Air / Picpus neighborhood, you do NOT want this hotel. And they have no business claiming to be 4-star.

After my wife had booked this hotel I went and read some reviews and started to have concerns but it was booked and off we went. We arrived to hotel at noon and as expected the room was not ready but the man at the front desk was were friendly and helpful he stored our bags and off we went to explore the big city. We returned at 2 and our room was ready. Room was small by North America size but clean only down side was no storage space just a small closet. Only thing was the hotel had no ice machine or ice available. All in all this hotel was perfect for anyone that wants stay in a quiet location but a short walk to 3 different metro stations. Don’t let the other reviews stop you from booking this hotel. We do 6 big trips a year and 20+ quick getaways so this place was up to par. All staff were friendly and helpful. If we were to go to Paris again I would stay at this hotel Thank You to the staff for making our first trip to Paris a wonderful experience

Overall: terrible experience, absolutely recommend Airbnb or hostel over this - I can't compare this to a hotel it would just be off the chart. 2 star hotel at best and if your expectation is that it's a 4 star hotel you will be in for a heart attack Cons: 1. Severely under staffed - always only one person at the reception, always miss replenishing something everyday and will refuse to deliver to your room and ask you to pick it up yourself from the front desk 2. Pipe leakage: everyday some parts of our bathroom has leaks and each time it's reflected we been told next day it will be fixed - they did clean it but it was never fixed 3. Ventilation: very stuffy air and only heater works not air con, no option to just have a fan on 4. A staff by the name of Kevin hung up the phone on me after I asked what his manager's name is. To be fair he first responded he doesn't know and after I asked again to confirm I heard him right he was very frustrated and hung up on me 5. The hotel elevator and washroom is very narrow and small 6. Diligence: the hotel staff did not lock the door of the luggage storage room and did not ever check who is taking the luggages out when people come and go - I did not lose anything but if I was a thief I would frequent here 7. Hair dryer looks like a vacuum and died in my hand within 30 seconds. I was told to pick one up from the counter and after explaining my hair is dripping water the gentleman working that night delivered a replacement Pros: the room at a glance looks 3 to 4 star and is renovated, the king size bed (which is really two single combined) is comfortable; cleaning is done adequately; location is ok 6 to 10 min walk to metro and across a super market that closes at 9pm. There was a couple staff who were nice but being short staffed everyone seemed distressed.

We stayed 3 nights in the hotel, booked in Destinia, from the 29th September to the 2nd October. When we arrived in the room by 2 p.m,, we found a men's underwear next to the curtains as well as hairs in the poliban. The duvet and the pillows didn't seem fresh washed or well ironed - we had doubts about the cleaning of the bedlinen. The first breakfast we had(on the 30th september), an indredible thing happened: when I was cutting the baguette, the employee approached and said I shound't cut the bread like that, this is, I should take the edges of the baguette and ( of course) eat them as well. That seemed so unreal I didn´t believe what I was listening. I replied I didn't understand what he meant, but he arrongantly answered" vous avez bien compris". Outside the bedroom in the corridor there was a smell which was not agreable or fresh. The receptionists were nice. The neighbourhood was acceptable. The hotel is a bit far from the centre( I knew but I expected less distance) and definitely it's not a 4 stars hotel!
