The Good: 1) Great location - bang opposite Gare D'Austerlitz 2) Clean Rooms 3) Polite Staff The Ugly: (there is no bad) 1) Super small rooms if traveling as a couple - no space for keeping your bag, no proper wardrobe (just a steel pipe with some hangars), Badly Designed space! 2) Bathroom: Badly designed with no movable space with...

We had to request 3 days in a row to have a lightbulb replaced over the sink in the bathroom.Housekeepers never replenished the instant coffee, sugar, cream and toilet paper,etc.. We had to go to the front desk at 10pm, and request some of these items. For paying $160.00 per night, it was disappointing.Front Desk staff was barely friendly and...

I and my girlfriend didn't come with many expectations, because we knew it's a simple hotel just for sleeping. Indeed, the hotel and rooms are is really tiny, and its advantages are the excellent location and the perfect cleaning. But, if you go to the hotel, you have to know that the workers are really not nice, I mean -...

Across street from Gare Austerlitz - good location for an overnight stay. Rooms are modern and small, quite functional. My problem was with the service. The service was surly, barely spoke English or French ( I speak reasonable French) and the attitude was one of why are you bothering me. Would not stay here agin. management needs a change.

We stayed 2 night at this hotel and hesitated at the beginning because of all these reviews about small rooms. We stayed in one of the comfort double rooms with a special price offer and the room was absolutely perfect! There was plenty of room for everything in the room and it was very modern furnished. The staff was helpful...

The night we arrived they stuck us in a room across from the train station, resulting in listening to the screeching of metal wheels on the tracks every few minutes all night long. The next morning we told the manager we wanted to cancel the next 5 nights we had booked. He refused. We contacted Booking.com, who basically did nothing...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.

“The room is naturally very cramped, and not where one would want to spend a lot of time relaxing. But as simply a place to sleep for one person needing to do things in that part of Paris, it is a very convenient and economical hotel.”
