Neither cheap nor expensive, tiny rooms but reasonably confortable, OK service but not memorable, good value breakfast but not particularly memorable either, the place is one that clearly is not worth the detour but won't let you dow either.

Pros: Great Location - 5 minutes walking, between 2 metro stops that will connect you to most of Paris. Rue Moffetard is a few minutes walk away and offers many restaurants, gelato, a convenience store that stays open late, etc. (Be sure to eat at Au P'tit Grec for cheap delicious sweet and savory crepes, and La Maison de Verlaine...

If you're looking for a good quality hotel in a good area of Paris, this is a great choice. The hotel has rooms on 6 floors and those at the front on the higher floors offer a glimpse of the towers of Notre Dame. Rooms are small but comfortable. We changed our room after the first night for one slightly...

For our plans for Paris, the location was ideal. On Rue Monge and close to to Rue Mouffetard. A short walk to the Seine and for some rooms, a view of Notre Dame. Just up the street is a grocery store with two boulangeries on the corner beside the metro. The rooms are small as expected for this price point....

We stayed here for 5 nights and had a great time. The hotel has a small café next to the lobby for breakfast and coffee. The staff was very nice and helpful and spoke multiple languages including English, Spanish, German, Portuguese. The rooms were small but that was expected. They offered beautiful views of the Notre Dame Cathedral and the...

The staff in the hotel was most welcoming and kind. Breakfast was good and sufficient enough to keep us going until lunchtime. The area was perfect - lively latin quartes, plenty of shops and supermarkets nearby. Our room was not big, but given the Paris standards, perfect! Most importantly the beds were comfortable, not too soft. We also had a...

The location of this hotel couldn't be better. Two different Metro lines within a block or two, the number 63 bus about two blocks away will get you close enough to the Eiffel Tower and the Orsay. Notre Dame was so close I almost felt like I should be there every day! The staff was kind and helpful. Especially Beatrice....

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
