Lovely hotel, not expensive, friendly and helpful staff. Good neighbourhood, lots of restaurants within 5 minutes walk and many more plus shops and tourists attractions all within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

As of January 17, renovations are going on in the upper floors. During the day there is a rumbling sound of disposing of materials. I asked to be switched and I was upgraded to a very big room (for one) facing the inner courtyard (room 20); perhaps it is considered a suite. I can hear people talking in their rooms...

Overall nice experience, good and plentiful kosher breakfast, would have been happy with more than one English speaking channel. Shuttle available to airport, but did not realize that it makes rounds and took over 1.5 hours to get to airport.

It's an old hotel. When your neighbours upstairs walk around, roll their luggage across the floor etc, expect to hear it all. Front desk staff were great, beds were comfy but there is very little space in the room. This is compensated by the fact that it's in the middle of an awesome neighbourhood and you can easily walk to...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
