My experience at the Victoria Palace was perfect in every way. It truly is a hidden gem of a hotel on a quiet street, but close to the metro and all kinds of conveniences. I had stayed there 11 years ago with my daughter when she was 3 years a old, and again in April 2017. When we arrived at...

Extremely nice accommodations and friendly staff. Breakfast buffet is second to none. Close to good restaurants and shopping. The hotel is also within walking distance to many of the attractions. The weather was rainy during our three night stay, but we had a wonderful stay despite that. The front desk has a substantial list of chocolate shops within walking distance...

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at this charming boutique hotel recently. The hotel is beautiful and the epitome of Paris. The rooms were warm and inviting, and the breakfast buffet was astounding. The location is very central, yet tucked away on a quiet street. there is a wonderful cafe directly across the street. I highly recommend...

The people here are more than fantastic! Our luggage was lost on our Delta flights from Jacksonville to Atlanta then to Paris. We arrived early Friday morning after flying all night on a packed plane only to learn our luggage did not arrive on the plane we were on. After filing a complaint with the lost luggage department, we finally...

Thank you for your kind words regarding our staff. It is so frustrating when bags disappear into thin air... And the airlines seem never to have any information as to where the bags are, nor when they might possibly arrive. We wish you luck finding them!

We just returned from our stay at the lovely Victoria Palace, home away from home. Great hotel, comfortable rooms and great staff, make sure to check out the newly remodeled bar. The hotel is on a side small street off Rue de Rennes and very close to rue Cherche Midi where you can find many cafes and restaurants. The closest...

We stayed 5 nights at the Victoria Palace in a junior suite, and it was great. Very comfortable bed & pillows, large room & bathroom. We did not have any issues with hot water or water pressure. Excellent, friendly service. Breakfast was just ok, we usually went to one of the cafes around the corner. There is a metro stop...

We stayed at this hotel in November 2016. The hotel is located in the Montparnasse district, where there are many restaurants and shops. Near the metro. The rooms spacious, clean with a marble bathroom and toiletries. Breakfast is good, with many choices. In theory, the ideal place to stay in Paris, but ... There was a failure of hot water....

Dear Sir, Sadly to say, you are quite right : there was a total failure of the hot water system at around midnight. We called for immediate assistance and a technician came to the hotel in the middle of the night to attempt to fix it, but did not have the necessary parts. When it became obvious that it would...

Great hotel. Quiet location, really good bed(s), breakfast and amenities. Very friendly service. If you want a very quiet room, ask for one on the inner courtyard. I would recommend room 310. Close to the metro and good restaurants. If I get back to Paris, I will stay here again. Thank you to the staff for taking such good care...

Dear Madam or Sir, Thank you for your kind comments. Funny you should mention room 310 : That was James Joyce's room when he lived here in 1923.

I spent 5 days with my wife in Paris and picked the Victoria Palace hotel. It was above my expectations for the cost and location. The Victoria Palace is well maintained, providing luxurious atmosphere to whoever comes through its doors. Rooms are much larger than expected in the heart of town well equipped, comfort beds and beautiful large bathroom. the...

Dear Madam or Sir, Thank you for your kind comments and especially for noting that you always felt you could ask for assistance at any time of day. Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located on the Left Bank, near the pseudo-Bohemian and resolutely charming, trendy rue du Cherche-Midi, the Victoria Palace Hotel stands out amongst Parisian hotels by the size of its rooms, especially the 28 Junior Suites averaging 375 sq ft (35 m²) each. The hotel opened in 1913 and although completely renovated , the decor remains deliberately traditional and quintessentially Parisian. For those travelling by car, the hotel has its own garage. The hotel prides itself on its staff's ability to ease guests into a truly Parisian experience : local shops, local restaurants, local markets, etc. There is also a special welcome for children to help introduce them to Paris and the French language. ... more   less
