"A former 17th century private mansion with its rich history" Ideally located on the corner of Place Vendôme and rue des Capucines, a step or two away from the arts and business district, the building in which the Hôtel Mansart was set up was built in 1720. It was designed by Jules-Hardouin Mansart, Louis XIV’s favorite architect, who also designed the Château de Versailles and the Invalides’ dome. The Crown jewelry-maker, Alexandre-Gabriel Lemonnier lived there during the Second Empire. He was involved in making Place Vendôme the jewelry district and made, among others, Empress Eugénie’s crown. The building was turned into a luxury hotel at the end of the 19th century. Even today, each room has kept the traces of past periods in its own way: the 17th century, the Second Empire, the Victorian influence at the end of the 19th century.

Nestled near the Place Vendome, Hotel Mansart's prime location is a highlight for guests, offering easy access to various attractions. The hotel receives commendations for its well-appointed amenities and the attentive, warm service provided by its staff. Its rooms are celebrated for their Parisian charm and comfort, though a few guests find them a bit snug and dated. The cleanliness of the hotel, especially the spotless bathrooms, consistently impresses visitors. The authentic French atmosphere is well-received, yet some guests debate the value for the price.

There is a reason my friends and I return to this hotel year after year. It could be the location right near Place Vendome’; it could be the proximity to many of the major sites including the Louvre, Opera, D’Orsay, and Galeries Lafayette; but it is most likely the staff which goes out of the way to guarantee your stay is memorable. Just spent my birthday in Paris with 13 friends. The hotel went out of its way to be helpful and even allowed us to use the breakfast room for our own get together before dinner and provided Hors D’oeuvres for the event. Merci beaucoup to Mr. Gamez, as well as the entire staff.

We booked a hotel in Paris to continue our trip to the south of France the next day. As we were driving some hours that day, we wanted to sleep in a good hotel with a nice ambience. Hotel Mansart definitely had a nice ambiance and was the perfect choice!

Upon check-in, the employees were very kind and helpful. Arranging everything (parking ticket, room service) was done within minutes. The bed was formidabel, had the best night sleep. Due to Corona we decided to order room service for breakfast (which was included) and within 10 minutes our fresh breakfast arrived.

We slept in the room with balcony, which was decent but don’t expect a big room. However, we all did it for the view which was amazing.

Dear Sir or Madam, Thank you for these nice comments about your stay at hotel Mansart, I am glad to read you enjoyed it and appreciated the service delivered. We only have three rooms with a terrace but we have also larger Deluxe Rooms around 35 square meters and also Vendome and Mansart Junior Suites facing the begining of Place Vendôme. Thank you for your visit and maybe see you when you will drive back to Holland from the South of France. Best regards. Emmanuel Director

Had stayed here 2 decades ago & wanted to see if my good memories were accurate. Everything went well from the moment we entered. The front desk was quite busy when we arrived, but someone immediately helped us with our luggage and checked us in (super easy with ipad, we didn't have to leave the couch).

We booked a Junior Suite (room 206), which had a very large seating area and table, a large windowed bathroom, and a bed alcove covered in Hermes wallpaper. Super high ceilings and large french doors overlooking the street. The room completely captures the spirit of the 18th century mansion, including the sloping floors. Perfect for feeling like an aristocrat living on Place Vendome!

The hotel doesn't have a ton of staff, but every time we needed something, the staff went the extra mile and was super friendly. Enjoyed the honor bar, which is set up nightly in the breakfast room. The location is just perfect: centrally located and surrounded by the city's best boutiques (at a fraction of the cost of the neighboring hotels). Also, there is a good selection of reasonably priced restaurants within walking distance (including a Kayser bakery down the block). Hotel Mansart is a perfect way to embrace Paris.

We have been coming to Paris at Christmas time for several years. This year we chose the Hotel Mansart for three nights mainly because of its excellent location.

The hotel has a porter who greets guests very friendly on the street and leads them to reception. Here too, a very polite and friendly welcome. The first surprise was that the lift only goes to the 5th floor - for us on the 6th floor, we always had to walk one floor. The chocolate we had booked in advance for Mrs. Reiselustig's birthday was forgotten, but the hotel generously provided a bottle of champagne.

The room was almost huge by Paris standards at just over 20 square meters. It was very clean, but thinly soundproofed and there was no ceiling lighting - buttons didn't work. The bathroom is big enough, but the bathtub is a bit too narrow for small children.

The breakfast is the ultimate disaster and probably the smallest and worst we have ever had in the world. The breakfast room on the 1st floor is actually an empty hotel room of around 15 square meters. A sideboard about 2m long has been squeezed into it and a few children's tables around it.
The coffee is mercilessly bad, the tea selection is limited to various black teas. The food selection is a disgrace even for France. There are two types of ham and two sweetbreads (all if available). The egg dishes are limited to scrambled eggs - if available. You live on baguette and butter, possibly jam (if available) and store-bought yoghurts that nobody eats. Croissants and pain au chocolait are never available and are also never refilled. We don't know what time you have to come to find something edible. Certainly not after 10am, the tables are neither refilled nor cleared. A complete rip-off for €20-40 per person.

The hotel is in the perfect location for a sightseeing/shopping trip. Everything is super close and within walking distance.

We would come back, but have breakfast out.

Right above the brand new Bvlgari store on Place Vendome is the location of this Paris gem. Some rooms even look out on Place Vendome but every room comes with super friendly service.

Only 2 minutes away from the rue Saint Honoré where you can find all the expensive brands the world has to offer. Parking is around the corner and restaurants are plenty.

Since 1992 my work takes me to Paris a few times a year and i have stayed all over the city. 2 years ago I discovered Hotel Mansart and I keep coming back. Also on weekend trips with my wife.

Hotel Mansart can be a layed back mansion for a weekend getaway but it can also serve as an efficient support service when you need to get work done.

I do not write a lot of recommendations, but this hotel deserves one.

I stayed here two nights for a business trip. The pricing was reasonable for Paris and the location was convenient and within walking distance to a number of interesting areas of Paris and of course never far from the Metro. The staff was really great at the hotel and very helpful. The room was clean, decent is size and bed was comfortable. The breakfast was really good and the staff was great helping out at breakfast. Overall a really good stay and the staff made the difference in my mind.

Lovely little hotel with an amazing location and wonderful service.

We had a balcony room for our honeymoon and loved it. Breakfast was great and the neighbourhood is within walking distance to many lovely areas. Rooms are a bit small, but otherwise, so charming. Rooms are decorated in a traditional style, and it feels like the quintessential partisan hotel experience, for a very reasonable price. Would definitely visit again.

We stayed in the cozy rooms, which indeed are small as the name clearly states, but since we only used it to sleep this was ok, although next time we would choose a larger room. The room faced a courtyard so it was super quiet. Even though the hotel said they had AC it either did not work or was not switched on so they brought as a fan.

The breakfast was fair, the breakfast room small but cozy. The staff super friendly but a little slow when cleaning up so we usually had to wait for them to clear a table so we could sit down.

We did have a concerning mishap with the front desk or would have given the hotel 5 stars. One evening we asked the front desk to order us a taxi to take us to the Au Pied de Cochon restaurant. The driver had no idea were this well known restaurant was and when we arrived at the restaurant the driver wanted 50€ for what should have been a 10€ fare. I then realized that the so called taxi did not have a meter and that it was some type of off the record transport service. I called the hotel and spoke to the receptionist that booked the taxi who tried to tell me that taxi fares vary and then did admit that she had called some type of limo service. I only gave the driver 20€ as I was not going to allow this pirate service to rip me off. I know that some hotel rejectionist and concierge services like to use their preferred transportation services that give them kick backs, but these should not come at the expense of a 5 times inflated the guest has to pay. The receptionist did apologized the next day when we checked out, but the damage was done.

Dear Sir or Madam, I thank you for taking of your time to share your experience of Hotel Mansart on Tripadvisor, I am glad to read you enjoyed your stay with us despite a small room (but you are right we have several kind of rooms with size from 15 to 55 square meters) I am more concerned about the taxi and can assure you I will investigate and make sure this kind of problem is not happening again in the future, when asking a cab the team has to call a regular cab, not a private driver which cost much more. I do apologize for this accident. Assuring you of our best care and attention, I remain, yours sincerely. Emmanuel, Director

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel. The room was nice, clean, well designed and a great size for the 2 of us. I was also amazed at how quiet our room was , given we overlooked a busy street. Staff were kind and extremely helpful. The location is very convenient to walk to most attractions and/or to access the METRO nearby (very easy to use)

It was a gift for my niece's graduation and I wanted it to be an unforgettable memory for her. The only advantage is the location a stone's throw from Place Vendome. I had booked a superior room with terrace, thinking it was even better than the ones displayed in its photos on all the sites. We were assigned a very small room, with irregular walls and old, not antique, furnishings! There was a small terrace, but with a very dated table and two chairs. The small wardrobe (which my grandmother would have thrown away) was almost completely occupied by the mobile mini-bar, the safe, spare pillows and blankets. There were no sockets to charge phones, in the evening we had to unplug the bedside lamps. Upon request they brought us only one other socket for just one side of the bed and therefore you either read or recharge. Only one support for the suitcases, so the other one remained on the floor for the entire stay. In the bathroom there is no surface to place our two beauty cases which seems normal to me for people to carry with them, even the ones on the floor! As soon as I saw the room I asked to change it, even without a terrace, and they asked me for an increase in price. I refused to pay even more than a room that I had already paid almost 500 euros per night, booked two months before, not at the last moment. Absolutely not 4 stars. One final consideration: it was my third time in Paris, in 1990 with the whole family 2 rooms at the beautiful Marignan Champs Elisées, in 2015 I spent 15 days alone at the Volney hotel, which is there a hundred meters from the Mansart, 3 stars but much more welcoming and less than half the price!

Hello, I do prefer the one with the bathroom and toilets on the first floor (you do not have to leave the room to reach the bathroom and toilets, do not be worried), the ground is made of wood (parquet) and is a bit bigger than 203 with a sofa, large desk, large table for diner. 203 is good for three people as you have between the bedroom and the bathroom a small room with a bed for one person.
