This hotel deserves its three stars. It has a Parisian charm and is modest but tastefully and attractively decorated. It has a funny old but fine elevator. It has circular cramped but charming stairways. The staff is pleasant but not always precise or correct in its advice. For example, I was told I could just walk into the Musee D'Orsay,...

We stayed at Les Tournelles for only one night last week, but would definitely come back! Great location in Marais, right around the corner from Place des Vosges and walking distance from shops and cafes. The hotel was clean and comfortable and we got a good last-minute rate. Our (Double) room was a little small and there was very little...

location in the center of the Marais was great, really nice neighborhood. The rooms are very small (like many other hotels in paris) but comfortable. the staff were nice, but in an unhelpful kind of way... asked for a late check out, recieved an unreasonable answer, the drive to the airport took twice the tome they said etc.

The building is charming and our room was very quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The room was small but adequate. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The location is really great. Three bus routes were mentioned in our guide book as ideal for seeing Paris (96, 69, 29). One stopped just outside the hotel and the others were...

The hotel is located in a beautiful building at the Rue de Turenne. We had a very warm welcome and felt 'like home' right away. The room was decorated very pretty and the...

We must echo the other reviewers: this is THE place to stay and I will no longer have to hunt around for a hotel in Paris in the future. This is it. The staff are delightful and helpful. The hotel is cosy and friendly, with lovely rooms. St Paul and Bastille metro stations are nearby (Bastille is on the same...

Perfect location. All the staff was kind and helpful. Had an upper floor room with a great view and a lot of sun. Close to two Metro stations, Norte Dame, Place des Vosges. Wonderful restaurant two blocks away, Chez Janou. Breakfast was excellent. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

From the moment I arrived for a week's stay, Les Tournelles became home. My room was perfect: lovely decor, modern amenities, and immaculately clean. The building itself is architecturally interesting, with exposed timbers in the stairwell and a vaulted cellar that has been beautifully updated as a charming breakfast room. All floors are accessible with stairs or an elevator, which...

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
