I would think my wife and I have stayed in this hotel about seven or eight times and we will keep coming back ! In every respect it is perfect - it is quiet, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable and well equipped and the location in Saint-Germain-des-Pres could not be better. We love it...

We stayed in this hotel over the weekend and really like the atmosphere from this hotel. It's a small boutique hotel at St. Germain area with a nice sitting/lobby/breakfast area in the middle of the hotel. All the staffs there are very friendly, helpful and polite. You can find tons of beautiful cafés, fantastic restaurants and high-end boutiques around this...

We went for two days to go to an art exhibition. We were upgraded to a superior room, which by Paris standards was large, and it was comfortable and well-equipped, and quiet being on the inside of the hotel. The staff were very friendly and pretended to understand my french although I heard them speaking very good english to other...

Our recent stay at the Hotel Pas de Calais was our fourth, and there are reasons why we keep coming back. Number One is the helpful and cordial staff, every one of whom goes out of the way to make us welcome and happy. This time, for example, we arrived in mid-morning, weary from an overnight flight, to find our...

From the moment I arrived until the morning I departed there couldn't have been a more welcoming and helpful atmosphere. The room was very comfortable and quiet.....also perfect temperature. Breakfast was simple and excellent. The "living wall" in the reception area is an added nice touch. My best experience ever in a Paris hotel.

This is an absolute gem of a boutique hotel. I was traveling alone for the first time in Paris, and stayed here for 10 days. The hotel was exquisite, quaint, with beautiful touches that make you feel as if you are staying with dear friends. The staff, from Valerie, to David and Jean-Olivier could not have been more accommodating, professional...

The customer service was very friendly and always helpful, especially with directions on how to get around Paris and St. Germain. Location of the hotel was great because it wasn't far away from the Louvre, Notre Dame, Bon Marche or the shopping precinct of St. Germain. Room was comfortable and clean but it would have been great to be able...

I highly recommend this hotel. First, the location is fantastic - 7 minute walk to the Louvre, and I walked to all other major sights. In addition, the service is fantastic (they were able to help me with a number of items I forgot to bring) and they are dog friendly (I was travelling with my small dog). The rooms...

We first stayed at the Pas de Calais a couple years ago and were charmed by its intimate atmosphere, attentive staff and perfect location. We went back in December after three hectic weeks of traveling and found that it had no changed a bit - for which we were quite grateful, since we were travel weary, to say the least....

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
