My husband and I (both in our 60s) just returned from a wonderful trip to Paris to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We stayed 8 nights in the Hotel du Quai Voltaire at the end of October into the beginning of November. The hotel was not...More
The worst service I have ever received- they treated my group (75+ and I with absolutely 0 respect and the state of the hotel is clearly going downhill. Avoid this place at all costs whatsoever. The concierge doesn’t greet you and can only think of...More

Could you please tell me exactly when you came to the hotel in order I investigate what happened as it is not in our habit to badly treat our guest. Thank you.
Looking forward to hearing from you
We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. It isn’t fancy but it was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Our room had a view of the Seine and the Louvre. We were in walking distance to the Louvre, Musée d’Orsay (unfortunately currently closed due to strike),...More
The hotel touts the Baudelaire Room as something extraordinary because he wrote some of his works in that very room. BUT, the room is more like a prison cell than a writer's retreat. The hotel has wonderful views of the Seine River but this room...More

France > Ile-de-France > Paris > Saint-Germain-des-Prés
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented
musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.

I stayed in a double room on the 4th Floor with a river view and it had a balcony which accommodated two chairs and I used a wastebasket for a side table. From what I saw, all the rooms on the 4th Floor have balconies and I would imagine that a triple room would have a balcony if it's on the 4th floor. The river-view rooms are THE BEST.
