Detailed Reviews
I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in a single room. The booking was easy via booking.com. The nearest metro stop is Oberkampf. Rooms are clean, and the bathroom had a good shower. Shampoo and soap is provided and a hairdryer. My room was quiet and overlooked the garden. My friends room was at the front and next to the lift and was a bit noisier.
We thought we might have breakfast but it was served in a windowless basement room that was quite small so we decided to eat out. There are loads of cafes and restaurants around so plenty of choice at a similar price. Reception is 24 hours and very friendly and professional.
I would stay here again and can recommend it.

Hotel Alhambra is fine. The rooms are clean and modern, and our was pretty large with a table and chairs. The location, near the Oberkampf metro station was perfect.
Breakfast is not included and, at $15 each, is pricey and not worth it for what you get.
So, all in all, pretty good — except for Mr. Grumpywaffles, the sour-tempered day clerk who scowled and scoffed at us Americans, and who was mightily troubled to retrieve a coffee for me in the morning, groaning and making sure to point out that he would charge me for each cup. Which, by the way, is a gripe: when you’re paying $200/night for a hotel, shouldn’t morning coffee be complimentary?

Dear Sir, We would like to respond to your comment on the staff and services offered in our hotel. On the room rate, it is entirely reasonable to pay € 170 for a room for 3 people in the center of Paris. You never had breakfast because it cost 13 € (hot drinks, pastries, scrambled eggs, eggs, bacon, ham salami, marmalade -butter, cheeses, toast, cakes, cereals, fruits juices, yoghurt, fruit salad & salmons), you considered it to be very expensive, so you preferred to have coffee on demand, which the receptionist did every morning. He did not remind you that it was chargeable because everything was indicated on the tables in the hotel lounge. But the most important things is that you have enjoyed the comfort of your room and the surroundings. Best regards

This hotel is in Le Marais which is a great area for those wishing to be outside the busy tourist area but close enough to visit tourist attractions daily on their trip. The hotel is VERY close to the Oberkampf metro stop, making accesibility to all areas of the city easy. As for the hotel itself, we booked a single Queen room and while the rooms are small, they are also thoughtfully organized, clean, and well kept. After all, we did not come to Paris to move about our rooms. We had rooms up the spiral staircase with a view of the courtyard. It was lovely. The hotel offers a very generous complimentary breakfast and staff were warm helpful, and offered up many dining suggestions which were delicious and reasonably priced.
I would absolutely book this hotel again or recommend it to any body looking for a true Parisien experience.

Disappointed as there were so many other better hotels I should have stayed in. It is well located, a few mins from Oberkampf metro.
I was arriving on a flight at 0600hrs so planned to arrive in the hotel by 0830hrs on a Thursday. I therefore booked the preceding night's stay on booking.com (Weds) and emailed the hotel to explain my arrival time/reason they wouldn't see me till late morning. I assumed check in would be after 2pm and knew I would be exhausted and needing a room. I got a response back that they could not guarantee my request and wanted to know whether I would have the credit card I used to make the online reservation when I arrived. An unusual request as those of us used to travelling pretty much know this is a requirement.
Another email asking about the card was again received as I waited at the airport for my taxi. I ignored it. On arrival at the hotel, I learnt a bit more about their operation and scam.
Firstly, the receptionist claimed I was a 'no show'. I asked whether they had seen my email as couldn't understand what he was talking about (this was about 0920hrs on theThurs). He asked for my payment card and proceeded to cancel the payment to booking.com. He then immediately deducted the same amount, from the same card.
Clearly this was done so that all the money could go directly to the hotel with no commission to booking.com!!
An hour later, I received an email from booking.com saying I was a no-show!! I promptly set them straight.
This is Hotel Alhambra's way of diverting all the money to their account if one books via a third party. As you can see from the receipt, they charged me 10 Euros for 1 breakfast which I never had.
The receptionist who checked me in didn't know I spoke French and so when the dining lady came upstairs and asked (as I stood at reception) if she should expect anyone else for breakfast, he said no on that first morning, yet still charged me?
I asked him again on Sat morning as I checked out why I had been charged an extra 10 euros when I never had breakfast (it is a supplementary fee) and he joked and said, I could have given you a coffee! I didn't see much disinfecting going on. The garden is lovely, shady with lots of trees. The room was clean but these guys are too expensive, double what you pay on the same street and clearly just keen on taking money from clients rather than giving quality service. Metro hotel is literally next door, at half the cost, much warmer and transparent staff, too.

The perfect hotel if you want to be not a guest but a cash machine!
I can’t evaluate the accomodation because my trip failed up.
If they take care of room’s cleaning and services with the same severity they use in understanding customers, it’s for sure a great hotel!
I booked for one night (to celebrate my birthday!). While I was at the airport, the airline company informed us that flights were cancelled because of strike in France.
I think you can understand my sadness… I immediately informed Hotel Alhambra asking for comprehension and asking for a refund, even partial.
They replied me that they strictly adopt cancellation policies.
Five stars in courtesy!

The hotel is in a great location for exploring Paris. The metro station is only a 1 minute walk away and it easily links you to all of the main sites. If you don’t want to use the metro you can also walk to many places from the hotel.
My room was extremely clean, modern and comfortable. However it did lack some facilities such as drink making facilities (kettle, cups etc). I would’ve also liked to have seen a mini fridge to keep my drinks cool and hand wash as an alternative to a bar of soap in the bathroom.
The staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay at this hotel again and I would recommend to others.

Stayed here as a couple for 3 nights. Rooms are clean and fairly modern, and although small, they were absolutely fine for 3 nights. The breakfast buffet was 15 euros per person. We ate breakfast once at the hotel and found it good value for money considering what you will pay for breakfast in the cafes, etc around Paris. Good location surrounded by plenty of bars and cafes and also less than a 2 minute walk to the Oberkampf Metro station. Staff friendly and helpful. Thank you

We loved everything about this We loved everything about this hotel with one exception, the MM. When we came to the desk to pay for our breakfast for five days, 120 euros, we were told we must pay in cash. He directed us to a bank down the street, it was raining, but my friend walked to the bank so we could have breakfast. The other staff were professional and friendly. However, monsieur manager shocked me one morning when I was sitting in the lobby with his pants so low 4 inches of a plumber's crack showed. 😳 I told the receptionist I was offended. Minutes later monsieur came to our room, and instead of apologizing, threw a temper tantrum. C'était le gout d'eau qui fait déborde la vase.
