Excellent hotel with refined presentation and professional staff. We stayed for 12 days and despite the bitterly cold outside, the return after a busy day was always welcomed by the hotel's warmth and staff. The Reception staff generated bistro ideas on a daily basis, reserved the table and made our lives easier in an environment which can be quite demanding. Our compliments to the Reception Desk, most explicitly to Ms Audrey who encapsulted top notch efficiency with grace and charm.
The GREAT: I loved that it was a stone's throw away from the Louvre and the Tuileries garden so it made for nice morning or early evening strolls. All the major tourist areas and shopping (along Rue St. Honore) were within a short walking distance. There were so many restaurants nearby as well but if you are too tired to venture out, the hotel dining was great. I had the daily breakfast (i don't know if this was an add on) but it was good to have especially for early risers with a good variety. I tried the room service food the first day and i enjoyed it. The OK: The room and the bathroom were on the small side and quite average but still comfortable. It had the usual amenities but wasn't exactly luxurious. I like that it was never noisy despite its location. For me, what made this hotel feel really luxurious was the excellent staff. I felt very pampered and welcomed here. Sometimes when the hotel is a little more upscale, the service becomes too cold and stuffy but I never felt that here. All in all, a memorable stay. Well worth its price. …
What a historic and beautiful hotel. I very much appreciate the preservation of the hotel with so many details such as the wood carved structure over the front entrance . You feel the glamour and it says a lot about the fact that it was preserved. Too many are renovating all this gorgeous hand carved artwork for modern looks. The lounge room is very inviting and you can’t wait to cozy up in a corner after a day walking all over Paris. We were welcomed very nicely by the bellman as we arrived followed by the gentleman at the reception clerk. The rooms are gorgeous and elegant and the view is like no other. Not to mention the location of the property is simply TOP! We were there as a family ok holiday and we all loved it. The team does an excellent job from entry to exit. Well done! …
This was our second visit to the Hotel Regina Louvre - and it was even better than our first experience. The hotel is gorgeous - historic and modern at the same time. Tremendous service by our Housekeeper (Fanny), the front desk receptionist (Sophie), and the concierge (Mehdi-Pierre). The restaurant, esp at breakfast, was superb in terms of food and service. The bell-staff - tremendous. Grand merci for a fantastic time. See you next year!
We recently booked an extended stay and could not have been happier with this hotel. The staff were gracious and helpful. Our room was large, and the bathroom had a tub and a separate shower. Everything was tastefully decorated, and the Christmas decorations were exquisite. So please at the location, central to what we wanted. We would stay here again and highly recommend it.
The hotel is beautiful and tastefully decorated. The room was pretty and big with large, nice bathroom. The location is ideal to walk out and shop and eat. It goes on forever with choices. Staffs are extremely nice and helpful. Not just one of my favorite hotels in Paris, one of my favorite places on the planet.
We booked a suite that over looked the Eiffel Tower and park area. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. Our room was on the corner and it was extremely quiet. We never heard any traffic! The bathroom could have used an update (it was clean and very adequate..don't let this be a reason to not stay here.) The staff was kind and helpful. Location is perfect and easy to walk anywhere!
Run down and tired hotel. The only thing they have going for themselves is a fantastic location. That is really spectacular for Paris as you are a stone throw away from many tourists attractions. I cannot wrap my head around how can one award 5 stars to this hotel. Stuffy rooms worth Soviet design from 70s. The shower room was particularly ugly. The only nice thing in my room was a view of Eiffel tower. Whole hotel smells a bit weird. Service is poor, and they couldn’t get their printer to work to print the bill. Also, they were incapable of ordering the cab.
We continue to return to the Regina.... for everything it offers. An historic palace property with such a gorgeous entrance and lobby.... consider the special suites with the special views to enhance your stay -- especially if you're only in Paris occasionally. Rates for those special rooms so reasonable compared to other Palace hotels in Paris -- which are no shockingly expensive.
I had the opportunity to make a stopover in Paris before heading to another part of France for business. My wife was able to join me for this quick Paris adventure. I apologize in advance as I didn't catch anyone's name. When we arrived the reception, the woman checking us in was amazing, she was outgoing, pleasant and told us all about the hotel and escorted us to the rooms. The bellman delivered our suitcases and explained a little more about the room. The concierge was great the woman in the midday and the gentleman at night. My favorite person was the head waiter/Maitre'd (gentleman with bald head). He was inviting, professional, funny and provided the most luxury service you can ask of someone. Even when a tray of glasses crashed to the floor, he never raised his voice or had a bad interaction with the staff. They calmly cleaned up the mess and resumed excellent service. The food at the hotel is amazing! I had the Caesar salad and the Rossitto for dinner, and it was one of my best meals in Paris. Then before we left for the airport, we had a France IPA (delish) and split a burger and Caesar again. So good! The hotel is also in perfect location for the metro and sightseeing. Looking forward to the next time we are in Paris. Thank you for making my first time there memorable.…
