Not our first stay at this really grandeur hotel excellently located especially for those who like walking. The hotel is magnificent, good service, spacious and nicely decorated room. Bathroom was a little cold so maybe Make sure the towel rail heater is working, that would help. Excellent breakfast, rich and various buffets, so not boring even for a long stay. Spacious and impressive lounge bar, with high ceilings, good to meet people, have a nice chat with some privacy too. Staff made our stay even more memorable with nice treats to celebrate my husband’s birthday.
As someone who regularly travels for work, and a frequent visitor to Leading Hotels of The World properties, this hotel genuinely is a Parisian Gem which cannot be missed. My wife and I stayed one night to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary, and purposefully chose not to stay at The Ritz as this hotel had had a more recent renovation, and I personally love IHG Intercontinental Beds. All I can say is, this hotel is a no-brainer for anyone who expects American 1st class service in Paris. The staff are truly wonderful, from the bellhops to the manager. We had an issue during our stay, and the hotel could not do enough for us to correct it. The decor is beautiful, the entire atmosphere is so elegant, and the beds (of course) are spectacular. If anyone is looking for a high-class stay in the 'Opera' district of Paris, this hotel requires no further thought, just book. My honest opinion is that more 'Leading Hotels' would succeed a lot better if they followed customer service care as well as Christophe and his superb team at The Intercontinental Paris Le Grand…
Great 5 star hotel in the heart of Paris! You cannot ask for a better location at the Opera. The breakfast buffet at Café de la Paix is not to be missed ! Not to mention the renovated rooms! Service up to expectations! A great concierge that are there at your service! They are able to get you seats in every corner in Paris! Well done to the Concierge team! Chapeau!
I had heard great things about the newly opened InterContinental le Grand, but they truly over-delivered. The service was impeccable, and the details in this beautifully kept 1600-something building are just outstanding. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a great team member in the reception, who swiftly checked me in and could answer all my questions - including regarding the costs for an upgrade to Club InterContinental access. That upgrade was the best decision of the day, as this is one of the better club lounges I have been to. The service in the club was just «grand» at all times, and the staff members were incredibly helpful, corteous and accommodating. The selection of food was also impressive, in particular for the evening canapees. As the rest of the hotel, my room on the third floor was really beautiful. I totally loved the bathroom, and also really liked the small luggage and changing area. The room came with a small balcony, perfect for observing the busy life on the Parisian street below. Two small details I did not like in the room: The carpet on the floor already looked worn, it would have been better with a wooden floor - and there was no shampoo/shower gel in the shower - they were placed by the bath-tub. SO/ Paris, where I stayed after, had the same exclusive bathroom products but had them integrated in the shower, and that was of course better. Still, in my opinion, the only «problem» with InterContinental le Grand was that it was so great that I hardly wanted to go out and explore Paris. The hotel gym was also a bit tiny for my taste, but Paris is after all mostly for enjoying. And the Club InterContinental experience, including their breakfast buffet, made this the best hotel stay of this holiday, even better than SO/ Paris. So I will definitely come back to InterContinental le Grand in summer!…
We spent new years in Paris and stayed at the intercontinental for 5 nights. Accommodations were excellent, restaurants were amazing and staff was very pleasant. We traveled with a 3 year old and they made sure we had everything we needed for an unforgettable stay. Would definitely recommend and come back again!
Great location. Gorgeous public spaces. Nice, helpful, patient, and knowledgeable staff that made all the difference. When we checked in there was a big problem with the reservation. (A Hilton error, not this specific hotel.) The staff understood the issue and worked hard to resolve it. They never got annoyed or impatient or quit. And when our child needed a doctor, they found one who came to the hotel in 90 minutes. Great place to stay in Paris.
Not money worth place with unprofessional and helpless people, train station like. We book a room for 2300 euro, we arrived at 18.00, the room was not ready (when it should had been by 14.00). Hotel didn't care, instead they offered a smaller room to wait untill out room is ready. It took me almost 2 hours to cancel and get a refund at hotels com as this hotel didn't do anything to contact them to solve the problem. The worse experience ever. They don't deserve this cash for the service they cannot provide. Pitty overpriced place, crowded and ugly. Support independent boutique hotels instead who care about you.
I stayed for 4 nights. Hotel has great architecture, good location and very opulent. Breakfast is good, lounge is great. Diamond Ambassador is well recognised. GM of hotel is very active, which is great. One staff Gilles was exceptional. Great bar! Can be better: - Couple of really weird waiters at breakfast area. Ill mannered and rude
We stayed at Le Grand for 3 nights. We had a great (upgraded) room (Rue Scribe) on a high floor. Great beds, clean room. We had also booked lounge access to avoid the crowds in the main restaurant. The hotel was totally renovated during Covid and they did a truly excellent job. The lounge moved to the 1st floor and is quite large. The lounge staff is very friendly and helpful and you can check-in and check-out at the Lounge. Breakfast at the lounge was Ok but somewhat basic. It was possible to order from a limited menu as well. The croissants are excellent (which has become rare in hotels around the world) but we are in Paris so you would expect it. The lounge is now quite large and never really crowded. It's a really great place to be if you want some peace and quiet after a busy day and it really feels "at home". The lounge offers breakfast, afternoon tea and "drinks and canapés" in the late afternoon/early evenings (1700-1900). As we stayed in other Intercontinental and their lounges in London Park Lane and Tokyo ANA we could compare. Unfortunately Le Grand does not score high here: what is offered for afternoon tea and evening canapés was pretty much the same every day: nothing warm in the evening. The patisseries were excellent but some savouries would have been welcome as well as some variety from day to day. So management: please do something about this so you can rank amongst the best lounges. But overall we had a great stay and will be back.…
It was great to be back again after the COVID crisis. We have visited other hotels, in other cities, that got really worse in the crisis aftermath. So it was a pure delight that Le Grand became even better than before! And it’s not only the amenities or the rooms that matter. It was a pleasure to see again familiar faces. Although this hotel exceeds the five stars standards, it is worth to note, that when staff is loyal, the hotel will for sure be loyal to its customers. We have stayed there before and we loved it. In every occasion. This time was no exception. Five stars plus service by all means. Next to the Opéra, easily accessible, central and strategically located, I can hardly think of any alternative that meets up its standards!
