This hotel has an excellent position, situated near the Opera. Good choice to stay few days for business purposes or to organize business events. It is a large hotel, so it can be very busy in the lobby or in the restaurant. Keep that in mind, having a meal can take more time than you assume.

Everything was absolutely FABULOUS! I've stayed at various luxury hotels and the Intercontinental Grand Hotel delivers. Great location. Safe. A wonderful experience. I was previously staying at the Hilton Opera which is not in the same location but at a train station location - Gare St. Lazare. Transferring to the Intercontinental was a dream after the nightmare at HIlton Opera...

Old world luxury meets phenomenal service. Palatial, elegantly appointed, and superbly located. The breakfast buffet was included in the room price and was exceptional in it's offerings. My only small complaint would be that the pillows were flat and not very supportive. I would absolutely recommend, and would happily return to this fine establishment.

The hotel had everything we wanted: a central Paris location near the Palais Garnier, Galeries Lafayette and Printemps, a Metro station across the street, a two-minute walk to the airport bus to Charles de Gaulle, a club lounge, and the wonderful, if a bit pricey, Cafe de la Paix on the ground floor. We spent three perfect days there, leaving...

Paris has been a "must-visit" destination for me and my family for every year since I was a little kid and this tradition continues with my wife and son. All I regret about is that I did not give this hotel a chance to experience until recently. And I am truly glad I did. Hence, this hotel became my sole...

We stayed here for five nights. We wish in some ways that it would have been more. There are so many positive aspects of this hotel to appreciate: the ambience, the assistance of the staff, the decorated walls, ceiling and interconnecting rooms - some which look inwards and others outwards. Our suite had a view of the Opera House and...

Staying here was the perfect home away from home. The first room we were given was very small. I asked to be changed which they did. I had to pay 60 euro more per night but we were given an extremely large room which we loved. The staff was very friendly and every concierge was amazingly helpful. We felt safe...

Stayed here for business, and would recommend to anyone for business or family vacations. Room was spacious and tastefully decorated, the staff were amazing from check in to check out, although we only tasted the bar food, this was not found wanting and was thoroughly enjoyed. We were also privileged to have access to the 5th floor lounge where the...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
