This Holiday Inn is well situated in Paris with most places within a decent walk. As you would expect the rooms are very comfortable and clean and the staff friendly and efficient. No restaurant but a decent bar. Very good value for Paris.
Rooms are quite large compared to most Paris hotels . Brand new everything. Staff excellent in every way. Just arrived and really impressed, and from working at the Four Season hotel in SF, this is quite good.
A gorgeous and very Parisian hotel. The staff were kind and were quick to accommodate. I was thrilled to be offered a room with a balcony which meant I could see snow fall in Paris. This hotel is right next door to the most colourful street in Paris - Rue Crémieux. So you can tick that off your list. Many places are within walking distance too. Points are lost for housekeeping who refuse to clean or restock the coffee and tea area. I was advised they don't restock coffee capsules even though the executive suite is advertised as offering 'complimentary tea and coffee'. I was told to go downstairs to the bar if I wanted coffee. The staff were extremely considerate and helpful apart from grumpy housekeeping, and those kind staff members made the visit so enjoyable.
The hotel is a five minute walk from Gare de Lyon so the Holiday Inn is extremely convenient, with excellent eating options nearby and good access for both Metro and RER, so don't be deterred by the insalubrious flashing yellow sign of the dodgy establishment next door. The rooms are freshly renovated with old style high ceilings, and they are large by Parisian standards. I even had a mini balcony. The staff are lovely, very professional. The lobby lounge is a haven of tranquillity if you have to kill time before a train. This is an excellent choice - the Jardin des Plantes is close by for jogging and the Seine towpath is also a good running option a few minutes away.
Modern hotel with great location just 5 min walking from railway station... Staff was extremely kind and helpful... rooms and bathrooms are great, some with small balcony I would definitely recommend it for an overnight stay like i did
My sister and I stayed here for 3 nights before beginning a pre-extension trip via Viking to the châteaux country of the Loire Valley. We've been in Paris often over multiple decades, so a central "touristy" location is not of paramount concern. Discovering a new quartier is. Much to our surprise, this hotel, located between the Gare de Lyon and the Bastille was a great choice. We found a nearby Covid testing site (required by Viking) thanks to our helpful concierge, Diego, and we were also able to walk to the Marais district quite easily. The Marais is where one of our favorite restaurants is located, so it was a "must" visit. Beyond all of these conveniences, we found every member of the staff to be friendly and extremely helpful. Our rooms on the 2nd floor were quiet, spacious, extremely clean, and the beds were super-comfortable. Blackout curtains eliminated any light from the main street outside the windows, and there was no noise from traffic. The breakfasts were served in a bright well-lit room on the first floor, and all the selections, both hot and cold were generous and frequently replenished. Everything was delicious, as well. We were also impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and their emphasis on wearing masks by both their staff and the guests. In sum, this is a hotel I would gladly return to - especially since it was not at all a standard homogenized cookie-cutter establishment. It is located within a lovely old building and retains a very individual (and very Parisian) atmosphere.…
This was our first stay at this hotel (we’ve been to Paris a half dozen times, staying at a variety of places.) This was basically a transition day between air travel and train travel the next day, hence our selection of this particular hotel. It is right across the road from the Gare de Lyon train station (and conveniently located next to a s*x shop….I kid you not!) From here you have easy access to the Metro and RER lines and of course, the train. What impressed us the most was the staff. We arrived over 5 hours before the published check-in time and were immediately given a room, without us even asking for an early check-in. (The staff will keep your bags before check-in..very secure, right behind check-in counter, if a room is not available and you want to go out and explore; similiar service after check-out if you have some time to kill before leaving the area.) Anyway, we were given a room right away. Unfortunately our keys did not work so I visited the same front desk agent who apologized profusely and reissued new keys. After getting into the room we discovered that the previous guest had locked the safe; back downstairs I went and requested help. I was promised help soon and the guy showed up 10 minutes later! In the evening, after a day of walking round town (18 kilometers!) we arrived back in the hotel with 2 bottles of wine. The front desk clerk offered to open them for us and then went to the bar to get us a couple of wine glasses. It’s simple stuff but not once did we hear any excuse of “cuzza Covid” or “We’re not allowed to do that” or anything else. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and I highly recommend it. (Can’t speak for the s*x shoppe next door!).…
We paid about 130 euros to stay here one night to take our train south the next day. They let us have the room as early as mid-morning and gave us free late check-out, since they weren`t full, probably due to COVID. The room was very comfortable, with a good firm mattress and aircon on a hot day. It was just spacious enough for 2 people, pretty good for Paris.
We stayed here for two visits about a week apart. The staff mostly was good some could be better. For the most part they took care of us and thanked us for being Loyalty members and got perks above what we would get in the states. The hotel was pretty empty and sometimes service could be slow. We did the buffet for breakfast a few times and it was good when comparing to Paris prices. The only beef I had was I found a service to pick up and deliver my laundry and was told that I had to use their service. (I would be better off buying new clothes) We has to wait for the guy to pick up the laundry. It was delivered no problem. The rooms were good and clean when compared to Paris standards. The area was nice with a lot of places to eat and even a cinema across the street. The area is pretty relaxing. It was close to the train station.…
Beautiful stay at the hotel in the city where experience was memorable. Room was awesome and the buffet food and service was excellent. House keeping staff was very polite and helpful. reception staff was always very friendly and ready to assist.
