We stayed here for a week in January and had a very pleasant stay. The hotel's location is central to the major attractions and the Metro. It is also close to a grocery store which we visited every single day. Bold colors and spiral staircase are pleasing to the eyes. As if we didn't walk enough in the city, we...

The chambers are very pleasant with all the opportunities equivalent to those of a four stars hotel. The breakfast is excellent. The position is central, but in a secondary road, so very quiet and relaxing. Main topics, such as the Louvre museum, l'Etoile, Place de la Concorde, Place Vendome, rue saint Honorè, rue de Rivoli, Notre-Dame, and many others can...

This hotel is hidden on a back street very close to the River, the Louvre and the rue de Rivoli, The decor is quite chintzy mixed with old beams. The effect is a bit gawdy but at the same time stylish. The colors everywhere are bold and the furniture eclectic. My room was small but nice and quiet. the staff...

This is a good hotel well maintained but old, very small corridors, very small elevator. The streets directly around it are not the best but the metrostation is nearby and you can reach every part of Paris in a jiffy. At walking distance are the Pompidou Centre, the famous Les Halles and the busy streets rue de Rivoli and Boulevard...

This small hotel is just two blocks from the river and two blocks from the Louvre ... it is less than 100 yards from a major subway station that can take you anywhere you want in the city. We looked forward to our daily breakfast (included) of fresh fruit, eggs, meats and cheeses. Unless we win the lottery and stay...

We spent one night in this hotel in November. We arrived around 11. We had been allocated a twin room which the hotel readily changed to a double and allowed us to check in straight away. The room was on the top floor and accessed by stairs from the floor below which wasn't an issue at all. Despite the fact...

This old building (1500s) is a charming, cosy and quiet place offering packed small rooms and tiny corridors. Having said this, if you are into experiencing the romantic flavour, in the nice and restaurant full area of the Halles, this is your place to stay. Location is just fantastic, staff is really friendly and connection with subway or airport is...

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
