I hesitate to write a glowing review about this because I don't want it to become so popular that I can't get reservations for it! But oh, what a wonderful find this is! The hotel was immensely convenient for just about everything I wanted to do. It was, quite literally, 70 paces from the Chatelet metro rue de Lavandieres exit...

The Hotel Britannique was a lovely charming hotel in an ideal location. The rooms were cozy with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean and complete. The staff was always pleasant and eager to help with information or in anyway possible from recommending a restaurant, calling a car, or helping with train reservations. The bowl of fruit in the room...

Great location. Quaint and adorable. Tiny, but lovely, rooms. I thought we were getting a suite but it was just 2 rooms next to each other. my kids are grown so it didn't matter. smallest elevator in the world. I would definitely stay there again

Hotel Britannique was a lovely spot right off the main drag. The owner was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again if I returned to Venice. The outdoor garden is perfect for a place to sip coffeemake and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

This boutique hotel was the perfect location for our family of four to explore Paris. We had two adjoining rooms which gave our daughters and us space to get ready in comfort and the girls loved the independence of their own room, television and mini-bar. The beds were very comfortable, powerful showers and a much appreciated welcome bowl of fresh...

Lovely little hotel in nice, quiet neighborhood in St Germain. Close to everything. Friendly, accommodating staff. Great breakfast in a sweet room. Room was small but adequate and very comfortable. They loaned umbrellas which came in handy on a rainy day. Would definitely book again!!

First, the obvious. The location is incredible – you are one minute from the Seine, ten minutes from the Louvre and Notre Dame. Virtually every major tourist destination is within walking distance. If you want to venture further afield, there’s a metro stop (Chatelet) one minute away with quite a few lines running through it – including one that goes...

Superb location, a block from the Seine, a ten minute walk to the Louvre, cafes and a wonderful boulangerie nearby. The hotel is well maintained, and the staff is fantastic. There is some street noise at night, but you're in Paris. Let me repeat: You're in Paris!!!!! Enjoy!

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
