I cant say enough about the staff, they are so friendly and helpful to everyone. You can tell they enjoy their guests and love making their stay wonderful.I heard them talking to guests in French , English , German , Spanish and Italian. The rooms are small , cute and clean and anything you need they quickly help you with....

Staff were great as they speak English, although a teeny effort in trying helps(pleas and thank you) everywhere. So close to Notre Dame Cathedral, a definite must, can catch the sightseeing bus from there. A laundromat one corner away. Caves and bakeries 2 blocks away (down the hill to Notre Dame) not necessarily the best breakfast in town, plenty of...

We stayed at the Hotel Le Jardin de Cluny for 6 days. The location is excellent: It is near the Maubert-Mutualite metro station, where you can catch an east-west metro train. And it is about 5 minutes walking distance from the St. Michel metro station, where you can catch a north-south metro train. At St. Michel, you also have connection...

Just 3 easy blocks walk to Notre Dame cathedral this hotel was a great find. Room was small but the staff was excellent. Cafes and bistros abound nearby. Metro station is close. There is a great breakfast cafe just up the hill by the church. If touring Paris again I would certainly choose this hotel again and recommend it to...

I started looking for a Paris hotel with a twin-bedded room in late June for a September trip. It was too late to have much choice; indeed every hotel in le Marais where I would have preferred to stay, could not accommodate us. I eventually landed on the BW Hotel Jardin de Cluny, and called to book so I could...

My wife and I returned from a 10 day stay in Paris, which was a wonderful trip due in no small part to where we stayed. Andrea, Andre, and the rest of the staff at BWJdC are very helpful, friendly, accomodating and patient with guests' efforts to speak French. The location is very hard to beat- as many prior reviews...

Good location, friendly, helpful bilingual staff, clean. Limited views at best to non- descript street , tiny rooms ( even after we upgraded to superior) but much better than archetypal USA Best Wetern. We would stay again ( was choice of friends originally). You do hear noise from other rooms but fortunately for us, not at night.

A beautiful hotel. Very small rooms, but I think most hotels in paris are. The bathroom was tiny but clean and adequate for what we needed. The staff were lovely and very helpful, offering suggestions on places to eat (theres a great crepe place up the hill on the right hand side of the hotel, we had a lovely apple...

We spent three nights at this charming hotel, a 5-minute walk from the St. Michel metro station, near so many other places. The rooms were small but clean and very nice. The staff was friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The wi-fi worked well everywhere. The breakfast was extra, but very nice. Many of...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
