Booked 2 nights here for my family (wife and 2 kids age 2 and 5). When we arrive to check in, reception says the rooms cant accomodate for the 4 of us. We booked the classic room. I told them it says here in the booking details that 2 children up to 12 years ols stays for free if they sleep on existing beddings. The reception says that is for free tax only. I showed them another part of the booking detail that free tax is for up to 18 year olds which is not the issue at all. Then they said the children stays for free is only for junior suite (which is fully booked) and I told them it doesnt states anywhere in the booking details that it has to be booked under junior suite. So the only option is for me to book a connecting room (additional for 2 nights at almost 600 euros) which i had to as we were very tired travelling since morning from Geneva with luggages and children. In the end we didnt even use the spare room as you can see in the picturew the room with sofa bed is more than enough for 2 adults and a 2 and 5 year old. …
lovely place and very helpful young staff, nothing was too much trouble. the rooms were lovely and clean and beds very comfortable. the breakfast was nice and plenty. i would say the only down side was only one coffee machine which kept running out of coffee with milk. they had everything there for all nationalities.
The rooms were rather basic. Although the hotel has been renovated one can tell that it is an oldish building. The first room we got had a huge leak in it, which was clearly old but has not been repainted. The staff was very helpful and gave us another room. Breakfast was good, offering a large variety of options. The hotel is very convenient for the Disneyland transfer.
I don’t usually write reviews but thought I would start. Me and my partner are 23 so was looking for a little weekend in Paris for valentines. This hotel had a great location with Eiffel Tower less than 2 min walk, few shops and bars within walking distance. The room was ok and not badly decorated maybe could do with a freshen up but for the weekend this was ok. I didn’t like the toilet and shower being in seperate rooms as it didn’t give you much space for opening doors as they clashed together. Comfy bed just small rooms and didn’t have great view but did not pay for a tower view Lovely free drinks in the fridge and topped up daily We did have to call up for fresh towels as we didn’t have any put in the room Coffee and milk was not restocked - probs forgot Lots of taxis outside the hotel 2.40 starting cost on most taxi but around 10 mins drive all in was Aprox €9/10 We didn’t find the breakfast all that but we do like our fry up in the morning. They only had mini sausages, bacon and very milky scrabbled eggs- no beans/tomatoes/ mushrooms etc They did have cereal, fruit, yoghurts etc so definitely something there for everyone, we didn’t go hungry. …
This place is only good because of its location and the staff. The rooms are horribly small. The housekeeping staff was cleaning the rooms and I guess was in a bad mood as he/ she kept banging the doors, cleaning rigorously by banging things and talking loudly. There also came a point when someone actually tried to enter my room without knocking. That was terribly rude. The guys at the reception saved the day were really helpful. Geordie and Clavem were awesome and helped me get a key to my room. They were very polite and professional. The rooms are small and the furniture is absolutely dated. The curtains have holes in them and some bathroom door are chipped. The showers in some rooms are clogged and don’t have the right pressure. They also don’t have black English breakfast tea put in the rooms. I mean why would you ever not have tea in the room ?? That’s basic. Every time I have stayed here the experience is getting from bad to worst. One more time the only thing keeping this place running is the staff and the location. Nothing else about this property has a wow factor. Sorry but just being honest !!…
We stayed at the Mercure this week as a couple whilst our kids were with the grandparents, a suprise get away a stone throw from the Tower. Bayern Munich were in the hotel next door as they were playing PSG. The hotel: absolutely spotless, the rooms were fantastic and were comfortable and clean. Could not be in a better location to access the tower. The service: This is why I write this. Fantastic staff, polite helpful, and could not do enough for us. We need to see a doctor as my partner was unwell, we spoke with Lina, and explained we needed help ASAP. Within an hour we had completed forms and a doctor had called and written my partner a prescription. This was worth its weight in gold and to say tha kyou we bought her a box of chocolate which was a suprise to her, but we were genuinely grateful and her help deserved an extra thank-you. We can't recall her name, but the lady with long brown hair and wore a bow in her hair was a great help. We were going to Disney and had no idea how to use the metro and connecting train network. She brought up the map and could not print it for us so she hand wrote the directions of where we needed to go, the number metro and train etc. Again, massive help and its these small things that makes it a five star review We will return, and no doubt we will stay at the Mercure again. Thank-you so much and I can't recommend this hotel and staff enough…
We stayed for 3 nights in Dec 2022. Great location and could see the top of the Eiffel Tower from our room. Breakfast was very good and rooms were clean. We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend. Thanks
Good hotel but don’t think we would stay here again. Rooms were spotless and beds were very comfy. Rooms are a bit small and the layout of the bathroom/toilet is a bit awkward. (The toilet is separate to the rest of the bathroom and is tiny) the room had everything we needed though. Very close to Eiffel Tower, which was good for us as we were tourists and were doing the usual sight-seeing. The other sights are a fair walk/taxi ride from the hotel though so if you are doing the same as us I would look for a different location. Good amount of restaurants close to the hotel, BUT because they are right next to the tower they are typical tourist traps and I would definitely recommend reading reviews before you go to any of these. Hotel check in on website states 2pm but it is actually 3pm.…
I should spread my experience here, The hotel is definitely not a 4 star property. The rooms are small and the bathroom were tiny. The sink and shower is together in one room and toilet felt like it was in a tiny closet. The room was small but clean, the restaurant is small and no variety of food and with extra charge for some orders, The location was close to cafes and the metro. It was great seeing the Eiffel Tower so close. I left the hotel after tow nights only , I will not stay here again.
Unfortunately this is not a review I like to give but I must express my experience. I booked the Mercure for my Paris Birthday Celebration and it was a horrible decision. I had to book my remaining nights at the Pullman next door. Upon arrival I was greeted by a staff that was rude, she is the one with the long hair and wears a bow in it. I was then assisted by Patrick who was nice but also said to me they only sell View not rooms when I complained on how small my room was and how outdated. The bathroom was very outdated and the the soap holder was broken. The room was muggy and warm. I had booked the hotel for 3 nights but cancelled and only spent one night. Service is not pleasant at all. If you do not care about rooms and want a view then you are good at the Mercure, the View is a bit obscured just an FYI. The entire hotel is very outdated it needs a complete uplift. I also paid $90 euros for a birthday box and received 5 colorful basic balloons for kids, a birthday banner you buy at the 99 cent store, it was not placed on the door it was on the bed. The entire experience was horrible. I am glad the Pullman next door accommodated me for my remaining nights since I was there to celebrate my birthday, they also surprised me with a birthday box Free of charged. I personally do not recommend this hotel. …
