My children age 9 and 11 and I (mother ) spent 3 nights at the hotel in May 2016. We sheared a tree bed room. The children loved that we had our own privat stair up to the room. It was ok space for the three of us. Lovely neighbourhood with a charming marked nearby and lots of bakeries, cafes...

This hotel is perfect for a trip to Paris. It is very central to all things and still silently in nighttime. The room was clean and nice. The beds were good. The bathroom/toilet was also good. The room was only used for sleeping and it was just perfect. A lot of good cafees and restaurants nearby. The staff was always...

Hotel Apollinaire is a lovely, quiet hotel close to all major forms of transportation and near plenty of places to eat. Most rooms seem to have elevator service, but not room 10, where we stayed because we needed 3 beds. It necessitated hauling luggage up 3 separate sets of stairs; doable, but not fun. Like many Parisian hotels, which squeeze...

Extremely nice front desk, exceptional service. The rooms - at least, ours - left a little to be desired in terms of space, though I will say the bathrooms are probably the largest I'd ever seen in Paris (our bathroom may have had more square footage than the rest of the room). Creaky floors and cabinet doors that don't shut...

Dear Matt M Thanks for sharing your experience of stay in Apollinaire hotel in Montparnasse district . We are very pleased to understand you enjoyed your stay amongst us in Paris. I just stayed at this hotel for a week and it was so fantastic. There are two metro lines on either corner of the street. The location couldn't be better! Quiet street but on each Street corner there are lots of cafes and restaurants. The vibe is great. Full of parisian and not so many tourists. There are lots of...

This was my first trip back to Paris in 4 years. I wanted to stay in Montparnasse again, as I loved that neighborhood the last time. Apollinaire was an excellent choice! I stayed for 9 nights/8 days. I had a single room with a shower. The room was the perfect size for one person: I could move around easily without...

Very nice room with space around the beds and very clean (spotless) bathroom facilities. More than I expected for a tour hotel room. Some people do not appreciate a room outside the US (or in the US). Breakfast buffet was very relaxing. Great staff that was very accommodating. I will stay there again!

Stayed with Rick Steves group. Very, very good location. Great staff. Very poor internet though...may have been our room location. .. Would stay again. 3 metro locations within 5 to 10 minutes. 2 supermarkets on street and within 5 minutes walking distance.

The room was extremely small. I really like the bathroom, it seemed like it was kept cleaned and there was a bathtub, which I used and liked. If you have 2 large suitcases this hotel will be much too small. The bed was comfortable, however the stains on the comforter were gross!

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.

“Most rooms seemed to have elevator access, but not room 10, which we needed for its three beds. Stairs were tolerable.”

“If you get to your room and realise it is right next to the elevator possibly go back to reception and get another room. I talked to the people in this kind of room and they were saying it was not so great :( I think there are 5 floors of rooms and just 1 room on each floor is directly next top the elevator.”

“Get a room that faces the street as this will allow you to see the local life.”
of 5 bubbles Keec, 2 Aug 2014 | Read review
“Higher floors have slightly less street noise. The little lift is rather noisy opening and closing. I had two rooms on the street side and I sleep lightly but as the windows are double glazed noise wasn't a problem at all.”
