Good standard Marriott, nothing special but you always know what you're getting with Marriott. This place is huge, and was very crowded with tourists when I stayed. Waiting for the lifts down to breakfast takes forever, but that's the same in any busy hotel. Room was nice, spotless and as usual a very good bed.

Stayed for one night. Nice and clean hotel, but boring. Location close to metro but few shops, restaurants and cafés in the neighborhood. Luckily we seached tripadvisor for restaurants in the neighborhood and found Auberge Etchegorry, a cosy basque restaurant nearby. If you stay at Marriot don't miss that restaurant. We didn't pay for the room ourselfs as it was...

We stayed here on points for my birthday and it was an average stay. We chose this hotel as it had a lounge and I'm a Marriott Platinum member. Upon arrival, the hotel really didn't bother that it was my birthday (they saw from my passport) which is fine but you always here of other hotels going above and beyond...

This is a typically business-style hotel, with a huge conference center, an overcrowded reception and a small breakfast area. Apart from all the disadvantages of such a kind of hotels, anyway, this one is not bad. Rooms are very comfortable and fully equipped, and beds in particular with a lot of pillows, as usual in the Marriotts. There is not...

Front desk and service is very indifferent.Had a tough time convincing that a couple requires a double bed and not two single beds! The room was very small.you won't believe it- the loo is in a small closet like room, seperate from the bathroom! There is no coffee maker in the room. The hotel, however, is very conveniently located and easy to...

This hotel is really showing it's age. Carpets, curtains, general decor, etc in very poor condition. I requested king bed, but got 2 singles in a shoe box of a room (459).

I recently attended an international sales conference at this property and I must say it was one of the best! The staff including the front desk, concierge, and restaurant staff were all wonderful. I must especially give praise to the wonderful conference staff (red jackets) and the A/V team who made the entire meeting effortless. The rooms are quite nice...

My husband and I spent our anniversary weekend at the end of October in Paris, this time with 7 ½ month baby in tow, and found this hotel accommodating to our needs and even the French staff very friendly. Rooms to usual Marriott standard (comfy bed, clean bathroom), recommend high floor, north facing for Paris view. Executive lounge very stylish,...

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
