Detailed Reviews
I booked this location as I was attending an event at Le Grand Rex and this hotel seemed very well placed (actually I booked a newer hotel close by that wasn't yet ready so my booking was moved). On arrival the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful and the location was perfect - central and well placed for walking and Metro use but also quiet.
My sixth floor room was small (to be expected) but bright and airy. The bed was very comfortable.
Breakfast was great.
The only negative was the lift not working at ground floor level so you have to carry your bags up to the first floor. It was ok for me but could be a problem for others.
I will definitely stay here again when I visit Paris.

We stayed a week in this hotel and I would like to underline the following aspects of this location: 1*ideal location as a starting point for excursions, in fact nearby there are two metro lines: line 8 Grand Boulevards and line 7 Le Pelletier. The Opera Garnier (stupendous) and the Lafayette department store can be reached on foot in about 15 minutes, the Basilica of the Sacred Heart in 30 minutes and the Louvre in 20 minutes.
2* clean environments and all staff (reception and breakfast room) were very friendly and helpful towards us. Breakfast with a large variety of sweet and savory choices.
3* the area is full of restaurants of all ethnicities, brasseries and small supermarkets.
We went three times to ValeAle where you can eat excellent pinsa and first courses and Gruppomimo.
4* the only flaw is the size of the room where we stayed, a bit small...but still welcoming and clean (we were out all day so it was only used for sleeping).
We booked 4 months in advance so it was also a good value for money.
Last indication for those arriving with Ryanair flights from Beauvais, the aerobus arrives at Port Maillot and from here you can easily reach the hotel with metro lines 1 and 8.
Overall I would definitely return to this hotel if I were to return to Paris and would also recommend it to a friend.

Hotel located in Montmartre, 2 minutes away from Grands Boulevards metro station. Lots of restaurants and bars around the hotel. Whilst accessibility to the metro was convenient, preferred to walk most places due to the dry weather. A brisk walk to the Louvre took only 25 minutes. Staff were very helpful and house keeping was very efficient. Rooms were a bit smaller then I was used to in previous trips to Paris but well appointed and everything felt newish. There was construction going on in the next building but didn’t notice any noise in the evenings. Didn’t opt for breakfast at the hotel as there were many options around the hotel, with some opening as early as 7am. Definitely an option for my next trip to Paris.

The hotel was convenient for its location, nice decor, nice staff reception.
We were very disappointed as our top floor room, was cold as the wall thermostat did not work.
I mentioned it to the night staff but he did not seem to be bothered.
I complained to the day Receptionist who was very helpful. She was aware the thermostat was broken as she said so. This was to me totally unacceptable to have been offered that room in the first instance. We also mentioned that the room stunk of food smells. Luckily she kindly offered us another room for the next night.
The worst was the cleanliness as the mirrored wardrobe was half dusted. The cleaner was simply too lazy to wipe the whole mirror. I put a finger on the surface & it was like it had not been dusted for a few days., the same with the mirrored box of tissues which was in plain view.
We were very disappointed with the standard of cleaningness especially since it was vital for the cleaning to be of a higher standard. I was shocked to see it was listed as a 4 stars but more like 2 stars. Even the drinks menus in the bar were sticky & to the naked eyes which put us off ordering there. Also the main lift broke down on our last day!!
I was unable to complete the hotel survey feedback on time.
I really hope someone will reply because we are frequent travellers (as we stayed in many 3 & 4 stars & even had better stays in 3 stars) . 4 stars is totally not deserved.

Very pleasant stay at this hotel. We appreciated the nice and well renovated Art Deco style, including original pictures of Josephine Baker.
All team and staff was very pleasant, available and professional. We were very well received and always felt welcome.
Excellent hotel location for walks around, fast and great metro access to any location in Paris, comfortable rooms and relaxing bar. We also appreciated the very good breakfast buffet, choice, and food quality before leaving for day our trips into Paris.
Special mention for bar tender on Monday 16th evening.
It was a real pleasure, we will definitely come back.
Thanks to all team.

Reception staff were all fine. However, housekeeping was very poor: no single sheets for single beds, just a double sheet folded over and not even tucked in as a bottom sheet. Dustbins that were not always emptied; paper cups for coffee instead of china cups; coffee and milk not always replaced; tissues not replaced. TV signal inconsistent as well. Ultimately, a guest should not have to ask for cups, coffee, milk, towels and tissues. I have stayed here before, but I expect more for a superior room in a four star hotel.

We stayed for two nights in this lovely hotel. It is located in a very central area and in a strategic position very close to two metro stops and many clubs. The rooms are larger than Parisian standards and the bathroom was also very spacious, with a very large shower surface, certainly recently renovated. They supply nuxe products. The only flaw is the carpet.
The staff was very kind and super professional.
I absolutely recommend it!

I stayed at the Mercure Paris Opera for four nights in October 2024.
The facility is not too bad. Rooms are small, but neat and tidy enough. Internal facing rooms are very quiet, so sleep quality is good. There are issues with the bathrooms (non-flushing toilets, water leaks etc).
The main concern I have with this place is the staffing. In the first two days on four separate occasions, staff just walked into my room - no knock, just the door swinging open and someone was suddenly there for me. I find this incredibly uncomfortable. The cleaning staff would also block the only elevator for hours at a time, meaning a lot of walking up and down the stairs.
Another huge gripe is the front door security. I got up early one morning for a job, and on returning back to the hotel, the front doors were locked. There is no key card access, you need to hit the intercom button and staff buzz you in...except that there was no one on front desk and I ended up locked out for almost 20 minutes! Such an odd approach for a Mercure Hotel.
Overall, not a terrible stay, but there are some huge areas that need to be fixed.

Dear Mr Pratt, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are happy to have appreciated the tranquility of the internal rooms and the cleanliness of the hotel. However, we are sincerely sorry to learn that several aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. We fully understand that the incident regarding entering your room without notice was uncomfortable, and we apologize for this inconvenience. We will convene our team to understand why this situation repeats itself several times, and reiterate the importance of respecting the privacy of our guests, as well as the need to knock before entering a room. We also apologize for the inconvenience with the elevator and security issues at the entrance. This is in no way a service that we wish to offer to our customers. We will take the necessary measures to ensure that this type of situation does not happen again and that access to the hotel is more fluid and secure. Your feedback is valuable, and we will do everything possible to improve these points and offer our future customers a more pleasant experience. We hope that you will give us the opportunity to welcome you again and offer you a much more satisfying stay. Take care, Rose R, chargée de relations client

Very dirty room. The coffee maker smelled like vinegar. The bathroom was dirty as well with yellow walls , omg so dirty!! Never again!! The elevator was somehow broken and I had to carry my two heavy luggage to the second floor and then take the elevator which was working only from the second floor up. If the elevator is not working properly they can’t rent those rooms !!

Popped down to Paris for a horse racing meeting at Auteuil. The hotel is only a 20 minute walk from Gare de Nord so no long queuing for a taxi. Situated close to Grand Boulevards with metro & bus links it is a perfect spot and walking distance again to the main shopping areas. Competent & helpful staff made our short stay perfect.

Hi, there are 2 or 3 Chinese restaurants in the same street so I guess you can order gluten free dishes there?
From the airport go buy a train ticket. Follow signs for trains to go down stairs. Tell them I want to Gare du Nord. It’s gonna be PER B Gare du Massy once you get to Nord get out and walk for 3 min to bus stop “Rue de Dunkerque” take bus 39 frese voisin all the way to Richelieu 8 stops and the hotel around there
The carpet in the room I got was reasonably clean. There’s plenty of food restaurants around. The breakfast at hotel was also pretty nice and fresh.
