This hotel offers basically what you'd expect from a mass market brand in Paris. Hotel is fine, but nothing compelling about it. Stay if loyalty points or circumstances dictate, but don't choose it if budget and plans are flexible. There are several positives for this hotel. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and everyone appears to speak English. The location...

The location of this historic hotel allows for the wannabe Parisian to leg it to all locations in central Paris. Bring your walking shoes. The hotel is beautifully central, near amazing dining, museums, etc. The hotel bar is out of a movie. Just delightful. Words cannot express how professional and courteous the staff of this hotel were. I would give...

I stayed at Marriott during a business trip to Paris. Rooms are extremely expensive, so you should expect a high quality of service. Is there a reason why after queuing up for almost 10 minutes for the waiter to check your room number, you cannot find a table available for breakfast ? Not that people are having breakfast actually, but...

I stayed here on September 2016 while in town for Paris Fashion Week. The staff is incredible and totally on top of everything with an awesome and positive presentation. They don't miss a beat from housekeeping to service. Everyone is happy and very attentive to all your needs. They have done a beautiful job keeping this classic historical hotel in...

We visit Paris almost every year and usually stay in the Opera district because of its great location near the major department stores; however, this was our first stay at the Marriott. We are Marriott Gold members and used points for our stay. From the moment we arrived we were disappointed with the service. We are seniors who arrived by...

This is my first time to bring my family for their first visit. Reason we choose this hotel because the distance from one location to another doesn't require much public transport. On Arrival, we just a little disappointing because no one actually there to assist us on a cold weather. Our Cab driver thankfully assist us to get the bag...

We liked being in the Opera area. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the Opera House. The room was comfortable and the amenities were typical of Marriott. The bed and pillows provided a good night sleep. The a/c does not get very cool so we were glad to be able to crack the windows at night. Wish...

Nice location, helpful staff, clean & comfortable. Only problem we had was room temp - we could not cool it down so it was uncomfortably hot in the room. Other than that we will probably stay here on our next trip.

The woman who checked me in at the desk was terrific. I asked for a quiet room, and she gave me an inner room, she upgraded me to club level due to my status without me asking. (The club is nothing to write home about). The concierge was terrific and arranged some out of the ordinary things for me. The...

This hotel is in a great location, but is very "tired". It looks like it hasn't been updated for over 20 years. The elevator doors rub when they open/close making a disturbing screeching that does not inspire confidence and generally indicates the state of the facility. Breakfast is ok, but the Business Lounge is lacking any substantial food. Service generally...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
