Our 2 day stay was interrupted by a sick better half at the American Hospital & ended up to be an 8 day stay. Thank goodness for the kindness of the staff & especially the much needed help from the concierge...since my French from school days is not conversational at all. Service was certainly very helpful from the breakfast (full...

From the moment we arrived til the moment we left, the red carpet service was rolled out. We were allowed to check in at 10 am to a very nice and spacious room. The location was perfect. Walking distance to all of the high end shopping and the Lourve. The metro was one block away and we used it daily....

First of all, the service is horrible. I am not the type of guy who dresses neatly. The bellboy was helping the hotel guests finding a taxi, until my turn, he looked at me, waved no and just went inside to the hotel. I was super confused, I had to find my own taxi and trying to explain where i...

I booked my room 10 months in advance through my travel agent and was required to pay for 4 nights in full 30 days in advance. The rate through my agent was about 35% - 50% more than if I had booked on Booking.com (remember booked 10 months in advance). My agent insisted that if I booked online chances were...

I stayed with my boyfriend for only two days in Paris, but it was inforgetable! This hotel has fantastic location, everything was just minute away, like the Opera or famous shopping malls. Our room was so lovely and very clean, and the breakfast was delicious! We will stay here again when we visit Paris in winter!

I spent 4 nights in a luxury room a few weeks ago. While the room is not that large, it is comfortable with fresh modern decor. The bathroom has a small tub and a separate shower. I love the Hermes toiletries, as well as the complimentary (albeit rather slow) wifi. It's a short distance to the major department stores in...

I really loved this hotel. It is located just a minute away from the Opera and Galleries la Fayette (although I would recommend shopping next door at Printemps instead). There was a huge intercontinental next door and this hotel was not so welll known, but I feel that actually made it better and a little classier. The rooms were surprisingly...

I booked Scribe as part of my girlfriend’s 30th birthday celebration in Paris. I requested some special arrangement for the luxury room, but I did not expect the welcome we received! No less than 4 different people, 2 of them managers personally welcomed us and the customer relations manager personally walked us to our room to be sure all was...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
