This hotel is close to Pere Lachaise Cemetery and the Atelier des Lumières, with easy access via metro and bus to central Paris. Despite being just off a major junction, it is surprisingly quiet. There are a variety of shops, bars and restaurants nearby. Reasonably sized, well equipped rooms for a hotel n this price budget. A good, varied buffet breakfast. Highly recommended.

This small hotel was ideally suited for our trip to Atelier des Lumieres. It is handy for the metro and only 5 minutes from the cemetery. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast had a good selection and was delicious. However, I guess the hotel is aimed at the business market as the room and bathroom were very small. There was barely room to turn around in the shower. The towels were the thinnest I have ever encountered and it had one of those elephant’s trunk hairdryers which are the equivalent of someone breathing heavily on your hair. I thought it was expensive for what it provided. But there is a Lidl round the corner.

Room Tip: I would avoid a room overlooking the road which could be busy.

We stayed for a night outside the main tourist town for the first time (11th arrondisement) to see the Atelier des Lumieres show. We had a choice of two Ibis hotels and this one was at a very competitive price. It is quite small for an Ibis but we had a cheerful and helpful reception rescuing us from our execrable French and murderous accent. The room was small but clean and comfortable the shower and toilet again small but functional and with the wonderful hanging dispenser for the shower gel. I wish I had one at home! The wifi was excellent, we were able to stream Netflix from our Oz account. Mobile reception not quite so good. Air conditioning was very effective. Our room faced teh courtyard and was quiet. It made a really good base for a walk and meal in the area, both of which are recommended. The breakfast was good and certainly kept us going until our mid afternoon flight meal. Checkout was easy. Possible improvements would be to add card security to get the lift to your room and perhaps a hot water source for a cup of tea. We did not use the room service menu but it looked like it would do the job.

The location was good and my room was ample and clean, but what made my stay noteworthy was the very helpful desk clerk. I came without a reservation and she took steps to provide me with a favorable internet rate. And, as I had found a parking space very close to the hotel, she explained how I could leave my car there until my departure the next morning at a cost of only 2 Euros, thereby saving the considerably higher amount I would have had to pay the hotel to park.
