Well, I don't usually write reviews (This is what I read in one of the review I came across while my hotel hunt. And now I know how the reviewer felt) This place deserves no less than a full 5 stars. What a commendable dedication towards a good experience for its guests. I stayed for 4 nights and Grand Hotel Francais was flawless throughout, infact, I would strongly recommend this lovely hotel for following reasons - Right next to rue de boulets metro and bus stop which is connected to Nation metro station which has a wonderful connectivity to all of paris (+ direct line to Disneyland and Eiffel ) - You don't get to see more humble and helping staff in the hospitality sector. I mean what a lovely team. Would like to mention Ziad, who was so helping and welcoming. We are so elated to have stayed at your place. Also, Kudos to Aghiles and Juba for making all our odd requirements heard!! - One of the safest localities in Paris. You get to see families and couples roaming around till late night. Super safe for families or solo travelers. - Very neat and sumptuous breakfast. Although there could be a few more options but thats not even close to a complaint. It was fantastic. - Its got everything around. A supermarket right across the road, Restaurants and Bakeries around and staying so close to a metro station was a luxury. - There was a little problem and it wasn't even their fault, and they apologised with a complimentary Bottle of wine with glasses which we took to The Eiffel Tower later :) DON'T HAVE A SECOND THOUGHT. BOOK THIS ONE. STAY ASSURED. Thanks, Deepak…
Super hotel, comfortable and clean. Staff are extremely friendly helpful and good craic!!Located in a good area, safe and close to Nation metro station, which has a number of connecting lines. Lovely bistros and boulangeries close by. Highly recommend.
Quality hotel. Modern clean bathroom. Large queen size bed with elegant white linen. Clean and quiet with a wonderful staff. Great location in a safe neighborhood near the Metro. Extra coffee pods for the in room Nespresso machine upon request.
The staff is unbelievable! So sweet and very accommodating!!! They made our trip so special. If you want a location that is not in the center of so many tourists, this is your place! Walking distance of fantastic restaurants. The hotel is impeccable. You cannot go wrong!
Rarely have I stayed in a hotel that is as clean and comfortable as Grand Hotel Francais. The owner works on the front desk seven days a week and his attention to his guests' comfort and well-being is incredible. There's one Metro station a few hundred yards from the front door and two more a few minutes walk away. Great breakfast buffet.
We have just thoroughly enjoyed a 2 night stay at the Grand Hotel Francais. The hotel and our bedroom was very clean and comfortable and was a lovely base from which explore Paris, very close to two different Metro stations. The icing on the cake for us was the manager - Zayd, who was always there, was always very professional and polite, but also very helpful - ie places to visit & eat and how best to get there. Zayd was also very humorous, a language coach and always made time to discuss various aspects of Parisian life. We hope to return.
Very nice staff, room always clean after we went out, good location (very good and not too expensive restaurants nearby), easy to travel to and from by metro and very nice breakfast buffet. My girlfriend and i would recommend this very nice hotel to anyone
Great hotel located 5 minutes from Nation on the RER. One stop to Gare de Lyon and walking distance to Père Lachaise Cemetery which is worth a visit with some very famous people buried there. Quiet and very safe neighbourhood with many restaurants and bars. Very welcoming reception. Comfortable room and great shower. Totally recommended.
I stay at this hotel 3-5 times a year visiting family who live in the 11th. It is a friendly hotel, the standards are high and are maintained. The rooms are very clean and well appointed. The breakfast is super with scrambled eggs to die for! The 11th Arrondissement is a brilliant area full of bars, restaurants, shops, good markets and excellent transport connections, I have always felt safe in the surrounding areas. I always look forward to returning to stay in the Grand Hotel Francais!
My room was well appointed. The bathroom was fully adequate (not like some hotels where you need a shoehorn to get in.) The windows provide an excellent sound cushion (and when I opened mine, I could actually hear birds singing. My room was facing the side street, and a park was mere yards away.) The service is superb- I returned one afternoon with a bottle of soda I bought at the Franprix across the street, and M. Ziyad immediately offered me a glass with ice. It's equidistant from Metro stations Rue des Boulets and Nation. This was my first and only choice for my last two visits to Paris. Should I visit again, there's no doubt about where you'll find me.,
