Easy to get to (2 metro lines), easy to book online, nice service, pleasant little courtyard between the multiple buildings. We stayed only one night. Small room, as is the European norm.

Well the only criticism I have on this hotel is that it is way closer to the Bastille than to the Marais. Depending on the goal of your visit, it remains OK located. It is a really nice hotel laid out around a very large pleasant and quiet patio. The staff is friendly and efficient. The room was ok, with...

The hotel consists of several buildings along a former street in the marais. The street is now a dead end street and converted in a courtyard for the hotel, which is very nice, but sometimes noisy at night when you have a room at the courtyard side. It's a large hotel with different groups of clients, like businesspeople, tourists, teenagergroups...

I stayed at Jardins du Marais on a business trip. The location was excellent, being close to multiple metros and the Marais. Check-in was very smooth and quick, with cheerful and helpful staff. The rooms are nothing to write home about in terms of decor but are clean and have a sense of space. There is also a wifi connection...

Although it sounded lovely by the example of the hotel on-line, the hotel itself was a nightmare. The rooms we booked to stay in we're overlooking the garden at the back of the hotel which was a pretty and large courtyard. However, various other guests made our weekend a nightmare by drinking all night in the courtyard and making a...

We arrived in Paris after an overnight flight from Toronto. We were able to successfully find the hotel - - which was in a good location for exploring Paris. This was our honeymoon (or at least the start), and we found the accommodation to be just what we were looking for. The biggest challenge we faced was not being able...

We came to France to celebrate xmas, new years and our 1 year wedding anniversary. This was our first trip to Paris and we were so excited, but we were disappointed with our hotel. 1) Our TV was terrible. There was only 1 english speaking channel:CNN. The hotel provided a in-room movie service, but it never worked for us. 2)...

The room was fine, a little disappointing compared to the website images and the very well furbished reception, we had a large column in the middle of our small room. I was bitten many times on my first night and could not believe that it would have been bedbugs as the rooms seemed very clean and well kept. For two...

We really enjoyed our three night stay! A good value if you pay between 100 and 150 euros a night (check hotels.com). The front desk staff was very helpful throughout our stay. They were cheerful and helped us with our French when we first arrived. When I got the flu on our last night, they extended our checkout time to...

Neighbourhood Profile
Bastille / Oberkampf
Bastille and Oberkampf are lively parts of town made for entertainment. During the day rows of unassuming bars welcome customers for a bite or a drink, but it’s at night this area really comes to life. Students and young professionals fill the busy bars around Bastille and Oberkampf. At Place de la Bastille, crowds flock to the Opéra Bastille in the evening and groups wait for coveted tickets during the day. Towards Republique, skateboarders practice their tricks while others chill out at the square. If you’re looking for late-night revelry, this is your neighbourhood.
