The only disappointment on this trip was that, having booked tickets in the hope of seeing him play for Paris Saint-Germain v Nice, David Beckham was left on the subs bench! But everything else was excellent, including this lovely hotel. From the moment we arrived in the charming reception area, we were made to feel welcome. As others have said,...

Beautiful little hotel in one of the nicest parts of Paris. I especially liked the clean and tastefully decorated rooms. The breakfast room in the delightfully done up cellar was another highlight. The owner was helpful among other things by volunteering an umbrella to us while we were standing at the door looking rather doubtfully at the rain. I would...

Dear Clients, Thank you for your kind review. We have several umbrellas for our guests' comfort and we are glad to lend them . This saves them time, instead of going back to their room to fetch theirs. ;-) We look forward to meeting you again at the St Paul Rive Gauche and we thank you very much for your...

We are repeat customers here. While the rooms are small, the bathroom is very nice and has room around the sink for setting your products. The location works nicely for exploring Paris since the metro is not far and the area around Saint Germain is wonderful. One of the best reasons for staying here at the end of a long...

Dear Madam, Thank you very much for your visit and for the useful pieces of advice that you shared with the Trip Advisor community. The laundromat accross the street is very convenient, indeed. We also offer a dry cleaning service with a pick up at 9 am and drop off in the late afternoon, the same day. Thank you very...

We had seven nights in this hotel and, while the room was not large (typical for Paris we suspect), it was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated with a pleasant view. It also had a very good modern bathroom. (No bidet which was not an issue for us but may be for other people.) The staff were very friendly and helpful...

Dear Clients, Thank you for your review! As you said, there are several good "patisseries" close to the hotel . Dalloyau, Mulot, La Durée... and even Pierre Hermé next to the St Sulpice Church ! We look forward to meeting you again in the future, Kind regards Valerie Benigno Sales Manager

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel in March 2013 - beautiful lobby, friendly/accomodating staff, clean/beautiful room. We had a room without a view and it was perfect. No noise from streets or other hotel guests. The lift worked great and easily fit my husband and i AND our 2 rolling suit cases. The hotel booked our departure taxi and...

Had a great stay here. The hotel is very centrally located, the staff was friendly, and the room was everything I could hope for. One tip: be sure to ask about the airport shuttle early to guarantee you a spot. Will definitely be back!

Dear Client, We thank you very much for your nice review and for your suggestion: transfers by shuttle have to be booked at least 48 hours in advance. Very convenient, they are cheaper than taxis for single travelers or for couples. From 3 persons, we suggest to book a taxi (about 60 EUR to CDG airport , private transfer)... Looking...

I had a really enjoyable stay here. Great location. Close to everything, including a 5 minute walk to the stop for RER B (Luxemberg station) which takes you right to Charles de Gaulle. We booked this at the last minute and got a standard room for €134 per night. The room (16) was reasonably sized but perfectly adequate. The bathroom was suitably spacious and absolutely immaculate. Dear Clients, We thank you very much for your nice review about our hotel. Room 16 is a classic double room facing the rear of the building, with a large bathroom. Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Saint-Paul Rive Gauche belongs to a Franco-British family, hoteliers for 4 generations, who have made the hotel a marriage of French elegance and English comfort. Situated on the line of Paris' former outer wall under Philippe Auguste, this 17th century building was once the home of Franciscan monks. The 31 bedrooms are colourful and range in style from the modern - vibrant flowered fabrics - to the traditional - exposed beams and elegant opaque curtains. There are beamed ceilings, faux ostrich bed-heads, clever corner armoires, even two baldaquin beds beneath the high ceilings of the lower floors. Entirely renovated in 2015, this boutique-hotel is close to everything, in the heart of the action, but in a quiet little street. The Luxembourg gardens vicinity and the so many walking distance sites like the Sorbonne, Notre-Dame cathedral, the Pantheon, Cluny museum and the Louvre, make the Hotel Saint-Paul Rive Gauche a convenient pied-à-terre for enjoying the city. ... more   less
