Beautiful hotel, very warm and friendly staff. Conveniently located. Very cool breakfast room with a good selection. The hotel is decorated in a tasteful, quirky way. I enjoyed staying here and would return to this hotel if i return to Paris.

My daughter and I stayed here for 6 nights on our first trip to Paris. The hotel is located on a quiet one-way street around the corner from a major street. Everything you might need is located within a 10 minute walk of the hotel. There are numerous cafes , convenience stores and bakery's close by. Several metro stops within...

We visited here in June with a friend for a week. The rooms are small but standard size for Paris and very nicely appointed. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was tasty and reasonably priced. Most of all, the location is outstanding, just on the border between the 5th and the 6th arr. in a quiet street...

We had a brilliant 2 night stay at the hotel for our 10 year wedding anniversary. On first arrival, we were warmly greeted and made to feel really welcome. The room was charming, with everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious and there was a good range of choice. The hotel is located on a quiet street, but you still feel...

This has been the perfect place for our five nights in Paris. The room (superior) is very well thought out, dead quiet, very attractive, first decent pillow in a month in France, modern bathroom, great bed, lovely service and very very helpful with advice and suggestions. Street is full of good restaurants and shops. Would return again and again.

Such a pleasant change to so many parisian hotels. Intimate, friendly, and with excellent staff. Comfortable uncramped room (for Paris) in an excellent quiet (virtually traffic free) but central location nr Boulevard St Michel/Odeon (we walked from it to all our planned attractions) lovely restaurants and bars in the vicinity. We wholeheartedly recommend!

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Saint-Paul Rive Gauche belongs to a Franco-British family, hoteliers for 4 generations, who have made the hotel a marriage of French elegance and English comfort. Situated on the line of Paris' former outer wall under Philippe Auguste, this 17th century building was once the home of Franciscan monks. The 31 bedrooms are colourful and range in style from the modern - vibrant flowered fabrics - to the traditional - exposed beams and elegant opaque curtains. There are beamed ceilings, faux ostrich bed-heads, clever corner armoires, even two baldaquin beds beneath the high ceilings of the lower floors. Entirely renovated in 2015, this boutique-hotel is close to everything, in the heart of the action, but in a quiet little street. The Luxembourg gardens vicinity and the so many walking distance sites like the Sorbonne, Notre-Dame cathedral, the Pantheon, Cluny museum and the Louvre, make the Hotel Saint-Paul Rive Gauche a convenient pied-à-terre for enjoying the city. ... more   less
