This hotel is in a perfect location, right by a major travel junction and the meeting point of several Metro lines. It is within walking distance of the Pompidou, the Louvre and Notre Dame. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby and within walking distance of the restaurants in the Latin Quarter. It is perfect for families, we had room 120... More

First off, this hotel is in a great location. Lots of shopping and dining nearby, and walking distance to the Louvre and other attractions. The property is clean, beds were comfortable, and staff was helpful. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, so it is bit noisy during the day. Overall, we had a good experience, but I would not rate... More

VERY conveniently located, however I usually expect more from a Novotel (Dusseldorf is a stellar example of a good Novotel). This being said, for Paris, this is decent, if not as clean as I would like. Despite having our windows face a fairly busy area, the sound proofing is excellent - the room was very quiet. Front desk staff are... More

Pros: Great location with direct RER access from CDG to hotel door. Nice lobby area for relaxing with a bar and piano area. Rooms were very clean with clean sheets clean bathrooms. Breakfast was included in the rate and was very nice with lots of choice and a lovely view of the church outside. The male receptionist that checked us... More

Be forewarned that the Novotel Les Halles is currently undergoing major renovations. Extraordinarily, the hotel has considered it acceptable not to advise customers when accepting bookings, taken pre-payments or at check-in. Be assured however that loud drilling and hammering will wake you early in the morning and make you abundantly aware of construction works. Details. We first became aware of... More

I booked this hotel through priceline, and although I was extremely pleased that it was within walking distance of the Louvre and Paris island, I was not impressed with the hotel at all. It had no facilities other than the rather modern lounge downstairs, and although the lobby was very clean and new, it had very little character. The room... More

I had an incredible stay (albeit with a few snags to start). Getting the snags out of the way: when I first checked in, I was given a smoking room rather than the non-smoking room I'd reserved. It was so late and I was so exhausted, I was too tired to switch until morning. It was also very hot in... More

The hotel is in a great location, right near the RER and Metro yet also within waling distance or many of Paris's famous attractions as well as many great restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We particularly appreciated their allowing us to occupy our room early after our long fight from the US. The bar was great, providing... More

Location is great, few minutes away from Notre Dame, Centre Pompidou, Rue de Rivoli, Louvre, aso. Classic Novotel, good services, nice staff. Breakfast is having good pastry and nice coffee as an example. In the neighborhood plenty of restaurants and cafes where to have a perfect dinner. Good price for Paris, nice quality price ratio.

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
