I am a Customer Service Manager with a major on line booking service. I stayed at 2 different hotels while in Paris and was thrilled to be at the Normandy(not the case with my other choice). The service from the staff was 4 Star all the way. The location could not have been any better, I saw the Louve from...

The only things about this hotel that rated anywhere near four stars were the staff, the location, the bar (which was close to empty most of the time) and the breakfast room. I don't know what rooms the other visitors stayed in but it sure wasn't the one I stayed in. I had to sleep on top of the covers...

4 star?? Are they serious. The lobby and bar are ok, but once you go up to the floors it is a whole different story. The hallways are in dreadful shape - carpets ugly, worn and stained. Room doors are all deteriorated. Then you step in the room and it smells like a cheap you know what. This must be...

After reading some of the review, I was a little worried about my hotel choice. When my husband and I arrvived at the Normandy on March 9, we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was in a great location, the staff were great, and our room (204) was terrific. It was very spacious, with a great bathroom. Lots of room for...

December 4,2003 I was pleasantly surprised. We had a triple room on the 4th floor. It was large, clean, warm and had three floor to ceiling windows with French Doors (one of them in the large bathroom).Think Shabby Chic. I liked our room with antique furniture, comfortable beds, double armoire and dresser. Housekeeping kept our room immaculate everyday. The conceirge...

Recently spent one night in the Normandy after being bumped from the hotel we had booked due to a "technical fault" - that old chestnut the flood that has been mentioned several times on this site. (The two hotels are part of the Hotels de Paris group so be on the alert for this bait and switch tactic during busy...
