We had a great stay at this hotel. The rooms are beautiful and comfy, the street is nice and quiet, the location is perfect for visiting the heart of Paris on foot, breakfast is great and there's no time limit which is fantastic: if you feel lazy one day, you can have breakfast as late as 11! The coffee was...

Had a wonderful stay here during October-November. Privately owned hotel where the owner (Renee) and the staff aim to please. Anything I requested was quickly addressed. Their breakfast for 8 Euros is very good. Nothing in the area is cheaper or can compare with freshness, amount, and friendly service of breakfast. Steps from place de Vosges, a historical place which...

As if we were back home, only a renivated home. Used to go there as family as a toddler, the a child. The location is incomparable, the room quite tiny, but who stays awake in the room. The 3 days passed like a dream and Therese was always there to help and assist. A gem

Down a cute little street, good location for exploring Paris. Room was small but all functioned pretty much. Except the TV had three remotes and lots of instructions to make it work. We asked at reception how to make it work and they asked if we'd read the instructions - duh, yes and it still wouldn't work. But we weren't...

We loved our stay at this small hotel. The building dates back to 1605 and is beautiful. Our double room was small (as is standard in Paris!) but very comfortable. Our room seemed to have been done up recently to a very good standard. However they have retained some of the charm of the old building with beams on the...

I booked a room at the Hotel de la Place des Vosges on a short notice and got a got price through a booking portal. My room was tiny, but very, very pretty and clean. The bed was big and comfortable, and the walls showed old wooden beams - lovely! Same was the bathroom: very small, but with lovely dark...

Room tiny (en-suite's basin in the bedroom) but very clean, staff generally helpful, some were brilliant. Location fabulous - walking distance to Notre Dame and some great museums - Victor Hugo and Carnavalet around the corner. Don't miss restaurant Camille on the rue des Francs Burgeouis - lovely bistro atmosphere.

Loved this Hotel. A great find and value for money. It is a very historic hotel in a wonderful neighborhood and quite centrally located. Surprisingly quiet too. Ask for the 6th floor apartment. It's worth the stair climb for the views to Montemarte.

This hotel is a real "Gem" A crown among the many boutique hotels in Paris. Situated in the heart of the Marais. A homely comfortable place to rest. The staff here are extremely efficient helpful and friendly, assisting and giving advise is no problem to any of them The rooms are all modern and comfortable even though this hotel is...

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
