Hotel Sainte Beuve was very much as described by other travelers on TripAdvisor. The hotel is absolutely lovely, down to every detail. The lobby area is small but elegant, and our room was just as depicted in pictures. We had the larger room, and it was quite comfortable and very handsome. Great care has been taken with the decorations throughout....

This was our second stay at the St. Beuve Hotel, and it was just as pleasant as the first. We love the location near the grand cafes on Blvd Montparnasse, and yet close to the Luxembourg Gardens and 2 metro stops. The lobby and rooms are beautifully decorated. The bathroom is large and very clean, and quality products are provided,...

We stayed at Sainte Beuve for five nights as part of our honeymoon trip in France. We absolutely loved it. The superior room was not large, but it was a good size and perfect for two people. We had a charming, small balcony overlooking the Rue Sainte Beuve - and we did not hear any street noise at night even...

Just returned from a five night stay at the Sainte Beuve. Can't say enough good things about this hotel. I had Room 20 which is the Junior Suite on the fifth floor. Quite spacious and beautifully decorated. I think the location is ideal -- centrally located but not in the middle of tourist action. Very close to two metro stops....

Sainte Beuve was highly recommended by friends, and my wife and I stayed there for a week after a week barge trip. We were joined by friends from London, and had a wonderful time, enjoying walks in the 6th, and all around Paris. The hotel staff was superb-knowledgeable about restaurants and very efficient in making reservations, helpful at the bar...

As others have stated, Hotel Sainte Beuve is indeed a wonderful boutique hotel in the lively Montparnasse area. We had superior room #6, second floor, facing rue Sainte Beuve. The room was small, clean and perfect for our stay. The balcony was an added treat and the street is very quiet. The entire staff made our first trip to Paris...

I recommend this hotel highly, it's faults are few--small wardrobe, some street noise heard in our first floor room. But later in the evening, the street outside is very quiet. Perhaps one floor up, would be quieter during the early evening. Staff is helpful and very professional. Our room, a superior double, was large enough for two, bed was comfortable...

I've stayed in so called 'boutique hotels' with a thousand rooms, but here we have an authentic personable retreat in a great spot in Paris. The staff made you feel welcome and pleased to help. My room was probably one of the best decorated I have stayed in, with lovely antique French furniture. A real find.

This is our second stay here and it's just as good as the first time. It's in a great location in between two Métro lines (Vavin and Notre-Dame-des-Champs), in a quiet street with plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. Staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
