My wife, son and I stayed 9 nights at Hotel Verneuil, while visiting Paris. Hotel is conveniently located in Saint Germain des Pres, steps away from D'Orsay Museum and across the Seine from the Louvre and Notre Dame Cathedral, but away from the crowds. The services include a very decent breakfast, with eggs made to your choice, fresh fruit, cheese,...

What a beautiful hotel. We would definitely stay again. So quaint, clean, and comfortable. The staff was so friendly and helpful and happy to make us drinks from the Honesty Bar! Bathroom was spotless and the bed was very comfortable after a long day. We would definitely recommend this hotel - we wouldn't have changed a thing.

Our most recent stay, for five nights, was every bit as enjoyable as our first visit in 2015. This four-star hotel in a charming 17th century building offers luxury at an affordable price. The beds are super comfortable with fine linens, and the bathroom, although compact, includes an excellent shower and bath, plush towels and robes, and L'occitane products. Rooms...

The perfect location, honestly, just across the river from the Louvre, a few minutes walk from St. Germain, quiet, civilized, charming. My room was tiny, but so chic and well appointed that it was very pleasing to me. I will return!

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
