a real gem - was part of the adjoining St Merry church and has lots of ecclesiastical furniture and fittings. narrow stairs but so close to everything - hotel de ville, pompidou centre, les halles - a really unique experience

Quaint little hotel with lots of character. Our room overlooked the bars so we had to ask to move, I'm all up for having a good time but still awake at 5am then woken up by bin wagons after 6 wasn't good. They moved us with no problem. It was a lovely hotel though.

This was a great place to stay except for no elevator. I know it said that in all the reviews, but I wasn't expecting 5 flights of a spiral staircase, yikes! The room was clean and a decent size for Europe. The room was also well appointed, but man those stairs are a killer. Oh, there are bells! I think...

A friend recommended the hotel as I was looking for somewhere special for my Mother's 80th birthday weekend. I booked the suite at the very top , even though my Mum is 80 , she is quite fit so the 4 flights of stairs plus the stairs in the suite were whilst not ideal manageble. The suite was fine although...

Cute boutique style hotel, in a great location. The rooms are good size for Paris, and have nice historic charm. The downside is hearing everything happening on the sidewalk, and a fair amount from the adjacent rooms(bring your ear plugs for sleep).

This trip was for my wife's 40 birthday to which I had planned to a tee as I wanted to get it right. I travel for work on a regular basis and usually in budget hotels which are well appointed but simple as I never intend to spend too much time in them as its the surroundings that I'm working...

It's an old part of the adjoining church fashioned into a hotel. Features lots of details that would be part of a rectory of a church. The bed was two twins pushed together. There are stairs to enter and a spiral staircase to the rooms. The bathroom is modern, but the shower door was problematic. The location is good for...

We went to Paris for a long weekend and stayed at this hotel. Everything was clean and tidy and staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was absolutely amazing and we loved the decoration! The only little inconvenient is that they don't have a lift, but the place is so charming that you wouldn't mind! Also very close to...

If noise is a factor, request a rear room. You may get it or you may not. It's part of the ambience of the St. Merri. The rear rooms were considerably quieter than the front. We tried both and they were very different. The front room was larger and louder, the rear room was smaller and quieter. We enjoyed both.

One star because zero stars is not an option. Where do I start? My job involves travel, I stay in hotels globally every month and have never, ever been treated in this way. As part of my job I stay in 4/5* hotels. On our honeymoon, I was looking for something really quirky and different so as not to feel...

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
