A quite small hotel located in the very nice Marais district in Paris. We traveled as a couple and walked a lot to all the main tourist attractions and areas, but to find cozy restaurants, bars and brasseries we had a lot to choose from nearby the hotel. The room was small but modern. The bathroom was recently renovated and...

I came for a 5 night stay at the Grand Hotel Malher thanks to a mistaken communication. It was a fortunate 'mistake'. The hotel is in the vibrant 'Marais' district ... a few metres off the Rue de Rivoli / Rue St Antoine, 2 minutes from the Metro Line 1, St Paul stop, and approximately 600 meters from The Opera...

Spent a week in Paris in November, and loved my stay at the Grand Hotel Malher. Fatima at the front desk was wonderful, as were all the personnel we encountered during our stay. I'd stay in this lovely little hotel again. Breakfast is a simple continental serving of croissant, rolls, and coffee. We happened to be in Paris during the...

Clean functional rooms with modern bathrooms. The staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent location. My only complaint was that the rooms were overheated. The temperature was set at 31C when we arrived for some reason. We lowered the thermostat to 16C and opened the windows when we were in the room, but the room remained very warm to the point...

This small hotel is a budget treasure in the Marais. The décor is a nice mix of modern and traditional styles, and the hotel has a lovely old-fashioned quality: one of the managers grew up having Sunday dinners at the hotel as a child! I asked for a quiet room and was given one of the quietest in the hotel,...

The hotel has been newly renovated. I liked their bathrooms - very modern and functional and designed well - the room although small had comfortable beds. Very close to Metro st Paul and the best of the Marais. I would stay there again.

I booked a two night stay (breakfast not included) and requested a quiet room as I'd read reviews that the street facing rooms could be quite noisy. Upon arrival, the check-in was efficient and my double room superior with bath, while a little tired looking, was very clean, calming and a decent size for one. It would also be spacious...

We absolutely loved our stay at the Grand Malher. Yes, the room was small (duh, you're in Paris!)but the decor was simple & nice and the room itself immaculate. The only thing I wished for in the room were hooks. I would have liked a few in the bathroom. The hotel itself was charming and PERFECTLY located. Right near the metro...

I stayed at the grand hotel Mather in Paris for NYE with my girlfriend, we were both very surprised with how cool but also welcoming the hotel was. The surrounding area is filled with lovely little cafe bars and boutique shops. The hotel was about 15/20min walk to the louve. We would definitely stay again!

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
