Hotel's Favourite
Just about perfect in every way, true grande dame boutique hotel. Gorgeous on inside and outside, beautiful lobby and rooms, 3 star Michelin restaurant, phenomenal food, service and attentiveness. Pretty much our favorite hotel in the world! Yes, it's very expensive but perfection is not cheap!

If you're looking for elegance, warmth, beauty, and the feelings of true Parisian luxury, come stay at Le Bristol Paris. My boyfriend and I were lucky to stay here for my 30th birthday this March, and from the moment you step foot in the lobby, it's like you are walking into a picture perfect snapshot, setting the mood for what your whole stay will be like. We were fortunate to have our room upgraded as a birthday surprise, and when we were shown to our accommodations, we were in awe of all the detail and care we saw. Every bouquet of flowers placed around the room, sitting area, bathroom, were all real. There was a plethora of treats to welcome and celebrate me for my birthday. Every window in our room opened up onto a balcony, where we could stand and soak up the views of Paris, catching views of the Eiffel Tower in background. The color palettes and decor is definitely classic, yet the integration of technology in the rooms is done in such a smart way, it doesn't detract from the classic, elegant feel of the room (ie: USB ports being carefully tucked into the decor of the bed side tables). The entire team at Le Bristol was also so kind, with a genuine earnest care for helping answer any questions we had, or checking in to make sure we had everything we could possibly need. We ordered room service for breakfast and the food was perfect. Flaky pastries, flavorful omelettes, fresh squeezed juice; everything was delicious. The hotel itself is a gorgeous homage to that romantic idea everyone has of Paris - and the staff helps make your stay there that much more comfortable. While we only stayed for one night, our time at Le Bristol Paris will forever be treasured. I can't wait to come back again some day - merci beaucoup!

Dear guest, We cannot tell you how much we appreciate you taking the time to post your guest experience on TripAdvisor following your visit mid-March. It must seem surreal to you both having been with us so recently, and when the confinement order was made by the government. Having said that, we are thrilled that you were able to have a special birthday celebration during your short visit. The lovely description you have given of the Hotel, and your suite accommodation, should make other readers keen to consider Le Bristol Paris for that future visit when really needing a romantic escape. That break will be well needed and deserved by so many having to endure these trying times these days. All of our staff will be waiting with open arms just as soon as we can all get back to business. Try to visit us again as soon as you can. In the meantime, stay safe and be well. And we look forward to a longer stay with us on that future visit ! My best wishes to you both !

I have just completed a two-week stay at Le Bristol following an unavoidable work commitment in Paris. The hotel is on top form and was a wonderful home away from Lodon, Covid notwithstanding. I was accommodated in an exceptional, extremely large suite with a view of the Eiffel Tower, which had been arranged prior to my arrival with a convenient desk and surrounding working area. Naturally adjustments have had to be made to make the hotel Covid secure, but these are pretty unobtrusive and convenient kits were provided with masks, wipes and sanitiser. The staff from the doormen, through to the housekeeping and room service personnel were exceptionally friendly and efficient. The facilities are superb. Epicure remains one of the outstanding restaurants in Paris (the Bresse farm hen is not to be missed). The other dining options (including room service, which I used frequently) are of a very high quality too. Do not miss the swimming pool. It has a wonderful over to Sacre Coeur. In short, thank you to all that the Bristol for making what might have been a trying time a memorable experience.

Response from Hotel Le Bristol Paris, Directeur général at Le Bristol Paris
Responded 12 Oct 2020
Dear guest, Firstly, thank you so very much for taking the time to make such a thoughtful posting on TripAdvisor. We know that your two weeks in Paris were strictly for work, and that you had to be under considerable pressure. Delighted to know that Le Bristol very quickly became a wonderful home away from London. We appreciate that you also felt Covid secure with all the measures we have taken at Le Bristol. This has been and will continue to be our number one priority. We are also so pleased that this little Parisian apartment that you occupied for two weeks, was convenient in its space for work, and when you did have a little down time, you were still comfortable and “at home”. Our Door staff, Housekeeping and Room Service staff will be so pleased to know that you found them to be exceptionally friendly and efficient. Nothing could be more important to us, and our department managers adore sharing our guests’ comments! Epicure celebrated its tenth year with the three Michelin stars last year, and the twentieth year for Chef Eric Frechon. We are so fortunate to have a passionate team who have top of mind that the diner should always have an exceptional experience. The Bresse farm hen is a well-deserved signature dish by all means. Frédéric and Rémi will be delighted to share your feedback with both chefs and dining team. Glad that you had the opportunity to visit, and probably on a number of occasions, our swimming pool on the sixth floor overlooking the chimney tops of Paris, and of course, the Sacré Coeur. By the way, it was inaugurated in the early ‘80s at the same time as the garden. Not certain that you would have known that the pool was conceived to resemble the deck of a luxurious sailing boat of the ‘20s, cruising along the Côte d’Azur. The trompe l’oeil depicts the shoreline of the Cap d’Antibes where one can spot, nestling among the pines, the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, another of the Oetker hotel collection. Lastly, we so appreciate the summary of your posting which was so very heart-felt, “thank you to all…for making what might have been a trying time a memorable experience”. We look forward to seeing you again in the near future, and this next time perhaps for leisure! Best wishes, LM

the Bristol hotel is the best hotel and a must-stay for sophisticated travelers. From the moment we walked in we were made very welcome. This hotel offers incredible five-star service: the rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped, with beautiful marble bathrooms and an large shower; about the room the most striking details are the high quality smooth silk sheets which gave the perfect sleep after the after the long drive, the bed was just heaven; i travel a lot, but I've never had such a confortable bed and such soft and fresh linen; I chose this hotel for its superb location, within easy walking distance of everything i wanted to see; starting with the Louvre and its beautiful square, the Avenue des Champs-Élysées and other attractions of the French capital. I recommend it for the high quality of everything from the well appointed bedding and bathrooms to the excellent service from the multilingual staff.
The gardens are perfectly manicured making the hotel a green oasis. The restaurants we went to were delightful with still perfect service. A real must for a magical holiday

Response from Hotel Le Bristol Paris, Directeur général at Le Bristol Paris
Responded 3 Nov 2020
Dear guest, Thank you so much for your uplifting posting on TripAdvisor earlier this week. What was so lovely was that you have held wonderful memories of your stay at Le Bristol Paris since last December! In these unprecedented and uncertain times, so many of us are keen to be able to travel as in the past, or close to that rhythm in any case. We are terribly flattered that your guest experience at Le Bristol was such that you consider it a must-stay for sophisticated travelers. So happy to know that you were made to feel welcome from the moment you arrived at the front door. We are fortunate to have a talented and passionate team that understand that it is all about the guest. Last year Chef Eric Frechon celebrated his 20 years at Le Bristol, and 10 years with the three Michelin stars. The food and beverage offer is extensive, and so much appreciated by our local following, that no matter what challenging times we have faced over the past five years in Paris, those regular Parisians are more and more fervent big ambassadors for Le Bristol. During the first seven months of the year we were able to redo our already wonderful garden with Lady Arabella Lennox Boyd. We are very excited for you to see it now as it is more spectacular than ever. The hardscape layout remains the same; however, allowing for a more cozy and confidential dining during those warm Parisian days and evenings. Delighted too that you found the quality of our bed linen trop rate. We receive so many compliments. The number of bed mattress and box springs we receive inquiries on is also interesting to note. These most basic elements are fundamentally important for a high-end palace. We also have many guests comments on the spaciousness of our guest bathrooms, including the showers, and the fact that with all the white wall-to-wall marble, the space is also very bright. Thank you for pointing out how pristine you found our room accommodations to be, and that you really noticed all the attention to the details. At the end of the day that is what it is all about. We look forward to you spending another magical holiday with us when the time is appropriate. In the meantime, stay safe, and be well. Best wishes, LM

What can I say but after a nearly two year absence from my favourite place, our experience at Le Bristol was as sensational as ever. I love Paris but staying at Le Bristol feels like you're coming home.
While we have stayed other places in Paris, when we came to find Le Bristol, we fell in love.
From the moment you step out of a taxi, you are greeted by the lovely doormen who whisk your bags inside, secreted to your room without any notice, as if by magic.
Then, whether it is your first stay or your nth, you are warmly greeted at the reception desk and welcomely escorted to your room, with each "apartment" more lovely than the next. Attention to detail is this hotel's forte, with everything from the luxury bath products you would expect to the cutest white and green hanging bags which are perfect for taking home any of your fashion finds, if you don't have room in your own suitcase!
Whether you chose to dine in one of the two restaurants, have a snack lunch, afternoon tea at Cafe Antonia or just order in room service and stare at Le Tour Eiffel from your Juliette balcony, the food is stunning and the service impeccable and you will be spoilt, no matter what. 114 Faubourg is my personal favourite. I could eat there every night forever and not get bored.
On the beverage front, Le Bar is a fantastic place to have a pre-dinner cocktail or one last beverage for the road, with a buzzy atmosphere that is fun no matter what your age. Equally, my husband says the best hot chocolate he's ever had came from Cafe Antonia, with its unctuous chocolateness so rich and delicious he is at a loss for words to describe how gorgeous it is. In either case, you can decamp and relax and feel the Le Bristol welcome envelope you.
Then let's talk about the Concierge team. I could hug them all they are so wonderful and like magic fairies! Over the years they have helped me surprise my husband with special tickets, they have manoeuvred us into restaurants that NO ONE could get a reservation for and, they are there all day every day, with a bottle of water or a map or a recommendation to what will be a delicious meal or a great sightseeing experience every time.
While I have to say that there are lots of the team that I could have named, even the members of staff that I only know by sight are as warm and lovely as the Le Bristol staff we have come to know over the years. The important thing is that everyone who comes to work for Le Bristol, in whatever capacity, seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs, feel valued and proud to work for what is, sans doubt, Paris's preeminent hotel.
I write this and miss Le Bristol. We will be back soon. That's a promise.

Dear guest, We are so pleased that you were able to return to us in these past weeks. And after such a very long two year absence. As we no doubt told you, that is just about the average length of time away for most of our returning leisure guests. To think that after all this time you felt once again at home immediately! So appreciate that you and your husband had a sensational visit with us. And we thank you so much for sharing your review with avid readers on TripAdvisor, and of course ourselves! Your writing walks the reader through your guest experience from the moment you are stepping out of the taxi. The door team will be so happy that the fairy tale starts with their lovely team. After being warmly welcomed by the front desk you were quickly installed in your ‘apartment’ where your bags were already nicely arranged. Thank you for noting the bathroom and closet amenities. We are always challenging ourselves to improve the guest experience, so your comments are well noted. Sonia, Steven, and the Concierge team really were happy to see that their team performed like magical fairies for you. That is the nicest compliment anyone could make. Our three Michelin Chef Eric Frechon has been with Le Bristol Paris for 23 years, and 13 years with the three stars. We are fortunate that the Chef oversees all of the food offering of the Hotel. I perfectly understand why your personal favourite would be our one Michelin star brasserie 114 Faubourg. Patrice is a pillar in our Food and Beverage team, running that restaurant for 12 years, and still as enthusiastic today as he was back when he started. Loïc, the Chef, over five years heading up the kitchen, and the previous five years working as a right arm to Chef Frechon at Epicure. What most Hotel guests, and local Parisians say, is that the staff are professional, efficient, but fun, and that the restaurant merits a second star. The restaurant is just a joy when on a business lunch or dinner, or purely at leisure. The Bar is another gem at Le Bristol. Thierry and his team create the most delightful cozy and romantic atmosphere, always welcoming, warm, and friendly. Nice mix between Hotel guests, and loyal Parisians, so we were so glad you and your husband find that buzzy atmosphere just really lovely. Every time we receive feedback from our guests who have underscored that everyone with whom they have interacted seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs, feel valued and proud to be part of this Le Bristol family, it puts a smile on our face. Thank you for writing, and we all look forward to that return trip! Best wishes for 2022! Leah Marshall

A sincere joy is evident in every member of the hotel's outstanding staff. All are genuinely welcoming, knowledgeable, discreet, impeccably dressed and groomed, and empathetic. Special kudos to Leah Marshall, Hotel Manager. Le Bristol is as close to perfect as it gets. And it makes all of Paris just that much more wonderful!

Dear guest, How nice to know that you enjoyed your return visit with us in December, and as your guest experience was once again so positive, you enjoyed Paris all the more! What you were also kind enough to underscore was that you find our Hotel itself impressive, elegant and sophisticated, but more important than anything for us is that you find the staff are without equal. This is such a wonderful compliment, in that you found a sincere joy in every member of the Hotel’s, in your words, outstanding staff! You indicated that all are genuinely welcoming, knowledgeable, discreet, impeccably dressed and groomed, and empathetic. This is like music to our ears! Thank you. We hope you are having a wonderful start to the new year, and that we will have the opportunity for you to visit later on in the year. Your posting on TripAdvisor is truly appreciated. We are very honored that you say that we live up to our reputation as one of the world’s greatest hotels! Best wishes, LM

If I find anything better, I’ll let you know. If you desire perfection in a hotel, staff, services and amenities, this is it.
In 1996, I asked a well-traveled older gentleman where to stay in Ireland. He mentioned a hotel. I asked why he liked it and he said: “Simply because it is the best hotel in the world.” Now, clearly he had not been to every hotel in the world. My son and I stayed in this hotel when my son was only 14. Upon arriving, having been welcomed by name, the keys to the car taken, our bags taken to the room, shown to our rooms and asked if we were hungry and wanted some food, which was shortly brought to our room, we were looking out the window. I explained to my son that the other hotel I considered was behind that tree in the field. My son quickly replied: “Dad, I’m sure if you asked, they would move the tree.”
So it is with Le Bristol. See for yourself.

My wife and I were delighted to be back in Paris once again and Le Bristol makes a stay in the city even more special. Everything about the hotel is first class from the doormen to the check in staff to housekeeping and all the great staff members in the bars and restaurants. We had a fantastic room on the 5th floor overlooking rue du Faubourg Saint Honore. The location of the hotel is really good being so near the Streets and Boulevards around the Champs Elysee. The nearest metro stop is Miromesnil just a few yards away where you can get Metro lines 9 and 3 and two stops away from FDR station on the Champs Elysee.
The cleanliness of the hotel regarding Covid is first-rate. All staff are fully masked with sanitisation fluid everywhere. I have to extend this compliment to all of Paris. People wear masks even on the street and all taxi drivers, restaurants, shops etc have fully masked staff members. This is significantly better than Amsterdam and London where I have recently visited.
The breakfasts in Le Bristol are predictably excellent. Delicious breads and pastries and eggs, bacon, whatever you want.
To sum up, a truly special hotel in the greatest city in the world.

The breakfasts in Le Bristol are predictably excellent. Delicious breads and pastries and eggs, bacon, whatever you want.
To sum up, a truly special hotel in the greatest city in the world.

Response from Hotel Le Bristol Paris, Directeur général at Le Bristol Paris

Dear Robert C., We are really appreciative of your thoughtful posting on TripAdvisor. Delighted that you and your wife had such a positive experience late November. You both clearly find Paris the greatest city in the world, so to say that Le Bristol adds to making a stay in this City even more special, means a lot to us! We strive, day in and day out, to create an atmosphere whereby all guests feel welcome, safe, and very quickly at home. I always love it when our guests make a posing, and underscore certain departments, or certain staff. The doorstaff for sure will be delighted that you found them to be first class, as it was for front desk or housekeeping staffs. You also commented on the great bar and restaurant staff. I can tell you that each department head will be sharing your posting with all their team. Our head of housekeeping will also share at her five daily briefings, the fact that you found the Hotel to be pristine, and that the Hotel’s protocol regarding Covid-19 first rate. Many guests mention this, and the fact that everyone is masked, with the sanitation fluid everywhere. Thank you for mentioning that you also felt that way even when you were out and about in Paris. Many guests tell us the same, and from so many countries around both Europe and the world. We are happy that you found your breakfasts to be excellent. Very often we say that this tends to be the most challenging meal period of the day, and so important to start the day off on the right foot! Hoping to have the pleasure of a return visit soon, perhaps in the new year. In the meantime, stay safe, and be well. Enjoy the holidays, and thanks for writing! Leah Marshall Hotel Manager

As part of a month long holiday from Australia that included (London, Paris, Tokyo) we had the great pleasure of experiencing Le Bristol for the first time. To jump straight to the conclusion, this hotel sets the standard for all others to be judged (and most will fail). It is that good. From the moment you arrive you will 'feel' that this is different to all other 5 star hotels. After a few days you will realise why. Everything (and we mean everything) has been raised to a level of perfection that is truly remarkable. Whether this be the immaculate cleanliness of every surface, item or facility. The incredible standard of food from all outlets including a simply breathtaking room service dinner that would put many restaurants to shame.. The sense of calm and style that seems to envelop every sight and sound within the Hotel. The quality of every piece of furniture, the huge bathrooms, the amazing beds (oh, that bed !!). The responsiveness to any request be it simple directions or securing tickets...for anything. After several days you will come to accept this level of attention to detail and this commitment to perfection and it will seem so natural. It is then you realise 'why' Le Bristol is so much better than any other hotel. It is the team that work within the walls of this hotel. It is the people that constantly strive to be the very best at everything they do. Each morning we observed the staff at breakfast glide throughout the restaurant with grace and skill and a minimum of noise and fuss. We relaxed every time we returned to the Hotel and were recognised by the professional and reassuring staff who man the doors and are the first and last impression of Le Bristol. We felt safe and secure when interacting with the ever present yet discreet management who were always present. We were impressed beyond words at how the General Manager , Leah Marshall acts as the perfect custodian of Le Bristol and ensures that every aspect of your stay will exceed your highest expectations. You too will smile when Socrate the Bristol cat appears , so chic in his Goyard collar. You too will be forever spoilt after a stay at Le Bristol. We were sad to leave after 6 days but happy to have had the experience. We continued our journey staying at other very well known 5 star hotels only to find ourselves saying , "this just isnt, Le Bristol". Already we are planning a return from Australia to Paris in 6 months and will be happy to return, safe in the knowledge that nothing will have changed...as it is difficult to improve upon perfection.

Response from Hotel Le Bristol Paris, Directeur général at Le Bristol Paris

Dear Derek W, It is very heartwarming to read of your guest experience while staying at Le Bristol Paris for the very first time. We were delighted that you chose to stay with us just a few weeks ago! It is understood that when you travel from Australia, it is generally for a number of weeks at a time, and consequently you are visiting many major cities, in many different countries. For you to conclude that Le Bristol sets the standard for all others to be judged, well that is the most generous compliment anyone could ever pay us! We all are grateful that your experience was such! Your arrival at the Hotel, and subsequent returns and welcome back by the door staff did not go unnoticed. You felt taken in hand, safe and secure. We also loved your description of the sense of calm and style that seems to envelop every sight and sound throughout the Hotel. The responsiveness to any requests was a delight to note, and your observation of that commitment to perfection by the team. Something that none of us take for granted. Our Director of Housekeeping Soraya loves to share guest comments such as yours with all her ladies and gents at her five briefings per day. You mentioned the pristine condition of all areas of the Hotel, either public or on the floors. This is very important for us. Thank you for sharing your appreciation of the furniture and fixtures while at the same time pointing out the large bathrooms and comfortable beds with their exquisite linens. You are so correct, it is all about the attention to detail. Chef Eric Frechon has been with Le Bristol for twenty-three years. We are very fortunate to have such a dedicated and talented Chef overseeing the very extensive food offering at the Hotel. It has been thirteen years since obtaining the three Michelin stars at Epicure. With only ten three Michelin star restaurants in Paris, we are very fortunate that Epicure is so often touted. Many hoteliers will often say that the best test for a good overall food and beverage operation is a Room Service experience. I was so happy to see that your In-Room dining experience was such that you found it breathtaking, and that it could easily put others to shame. During the pandemic, there were seven months that the restaurants and bars were not allowed to operate. We promoted different offers amongst the locals to propose a gastronomic experience in the comfort of a suite. The dining tables from the three and one Michelin restaurants were placed in the salons of the suites with the same table top as Epicure. You also described the experience of breakfast at Epicure, and the joy of watching the staff glide throughout the restaurant with grace and skill. That is how I also see the team, it’s theatre. As you so poignantly said, it is all about the team. Being dedicated and passionate to make every guest feel special. We are thrilled to know that you are planning a return trip to Paris mid-year, and we will be just too happy to see you again. Socrates will be waiting also! In the meantime, we are sending you our heartiest wishes for this year end, and for best times ahead for 2023. Happy holidays! Leah Marshall Hotel Manager

if you are looking for a central hotel, with qualified and prepared staff, with a nice garden to relax and with an exceptional bedding, this is the place for you; i had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful hotel a few months ago, The suite i stayed in was absolutely gorgeous and i loved those first class amazing linens, in fact I slept really well because i didn't hear any noise from the surrounding rooms and corridors and because the bed was large and comfortable with sumptuous and clean linens. location was awesome and near to just about everything. Accessible on foot or short 5 minute cab to all major features of Paris. I would not hesitate for a single moment to recommend this fine hotel and I look forward to our next stay here.

Dear guest, Thank you so much for the recent posting on TripAdvisor regarding your stay last November. Thrilled that you consider the location ideal. It is true that we are in close proximity to the major attractions, and choicest shopping. It is always a pleasure to know when our guests have had a most positive guest experience. Thank you for commenting on the staff in general. This is very important to us. Delighted that you found the suite well-appointed, and most of all quiet. A restful sleep is at the top of priorities for most travellers. Aurélie, our Director on the Room side of our business, was delighted to see that you truly appreciated the choice of bedding, and linens. This is always top of mind as we know that it makes the difference. Since you last visited you may be interested to know that we have completely redone our garden. It has just been completed, so we are most keen to have our residents and local Parisians discover this oasis which is more exceptional than ever. We look forward to your return when that would be possible. Enjoy the summer. Best wishes, Leah Marshall

There is no longer a certainty of anything based on new Covid 19 rules and regs, please communicate directly with hotel - good luck
They have beautiful bedspreads. The turn down service is wonderful and you will come into crisp white sheets with a very comfy, fluffy duvet. The rooms are continually upgraded. The hotel has its own unique style and is not the cookie cutter hotel that most are becoming. It is not a minimalist white and brown room.
