We stayed here in May for three nights and found this to be an extrememly comfortable and quiet budget hotel in a great location. The rooms was clean and tidy and appeard to have recently been refurbished. The bathroom had a nice shower and big bath tub. Staff were extremely helpful and very friendly and spoke English (I am a...

Hotel was being renevated during our stay, but was still of a really decent standard. There were 3 of us on our trip and the room was a great size, especially for Paris and even more especially because of the price!!! Staff were great and new a lot about the area which was really helpful and the hotel is situated...

We were in a cute and calm 3bedroom right under the roof. Nice area, good breakfast buffet, and such a friendly and helpful welcoming. Thanks to the team!

On the Rue de Flandre Hotel le Canal is situated close to centre of Paris and is ideal for sitghtseeing tours on foot but also has two Metro stations a few yeards away to make travel all over Paris easily accessible. Rooms are basic, cleaned daily and staff very helpful. Breakfast is buffet style at 8Eruos each is a bit...

Me and my boyfriend booked this hotel vey last minute after checking in to a hell hole of a hotel elsewhere in paris. We booked the small double as this was all we could afford... One big positive is the comfort of the bed! We both way this mattress and duvet at home, so much so that on our second...

I came with my family, 5 persons, from Laos to visit Paris, 10 days. The hotel has great atmosphere and decoration, the staff is so gentle, giving us many advices to visit the city. My children went out on concerts on boats just near the hotel every night, and took really easily the subway to Disney Land! We are all...

Stayed here for 2 nights in late December. Got very cheap rate through third party. Hotel was convenient in terms of being close to the metro and short trip to Gare du Nord (for Eurostar travellers). Checkin was welcoming. Rooms were very small. Our double was a double bed pushed against a wall. Avoid rooms on 6th floor as water...

I brought my partner to Paris for a romantic weekend. When I booked the hotel in August, it was in the top 200 hotels in Paris. I now believe that this was due to false reviews. First of all the room (we booked a double) was small and cold, and had 2 single beds pushed together with 2 single duvets...

Staying in La Villette

Neighbourhood Profile
La Villette
This futuristic landscape has come to define the northeast of Paris. The Saint-Denis canal is framed with luscious lawns and metallic buildings over a wide-open space. Home to Europe's largest science museum, this area rewards daytime and nighttime explorations; there are three concert spaces, plus cinemas and bars, and even open-air cinema in the summer. The surrounding homes are a sharp contrast to the futuristic space. Though on the outskirts of Paris, La Villette is worth the short Metro ride from the centre.
